Still power in:

All depends on where the tree lands.

Reporting live from Orange County, NY.
Just very windy with constant downpour here.
On to the important person:
Just spoke with DH who stayed in the evacuation zone (Amity Harbor). We still have power but a neighbor's tree fel into the roof of his work shed.
Basement also has water pouring into it.
He said trees are down all over our block and he went over by the canal side and those poor people are gonna be screwed with flooding.

Ozone Park, Queens.
Heavy winds. Rain, sometimes heavy but sometimes just a sprinkle.
We have power. Just woke up and looked outside...lots of pieces of trees down, nothing major though - leaves, pieces of branches (not whole branches).

i am without power in garden city but my parents are also in garden city, and have power -- so im at their apt now, my dad came to get me. my sister is also in garden city without power.
dh is at work (ncpd) and said he's very busy... 
hope everyone that has to be out there is staying safe.
on a bizzare note, we went out of the way and took jericho tpke to get here (to avoid all the very tree-ridden streets) and we passed an open bagel store and there were like 10 cars in the lot!
eta we saw at least 2 trees completely blocking side streets

how about flooding in Oceanside/Island Park/Long beach? any word?
We are in North Massapequa
STRONG winds and heavy rains (actually not raining much now) debris down, bushes flattened. we still have power!

We still have power, though we did have a surge before. No trees down, but tons of leaves and a few branches. Lots of wind and pouring rain. It's less scary in the daylight

based on the news coverage i just saw, the flooding looks pretty bad in long beach, the ocean was up to park ave (or whatever the main road is called)
and of course there were idiots out there taking pics and a guy walking his dog
if a power line goes down into the water that you're standing in...

We're in Western Nassau, not north shore at all but well north of Sunrise & Merrick. We still have power (obviously). There is a light rain here with fairly heavy winds. There's a few branches on the ground.
I saw a picture of Freeport this morning, and the water is up to the first step of houses already. The entire street is flooded.

I'm in White Plains and I don't think the rain has let up at all. We've definitely picked up 6inches already. My trees are still standing, but we'll see for how long because the wind is really picking up. Thanks to Facebook I know a lot of my friends in neighboring towns have lost power, but we've got ours for now.

I heard a huge explosion too and Im in Baldwin. I woke my DH up and we looked outside. We live in a co-op its really windy now. Praying we don't lose power.

There's three feet of water on at least one street in Oceanside.

In Baldwin... so far all i can see is a tree down on our street and lots of debris down outside
We've got a leak in our living room..
no cable, but internet works, and power flickers a bit.
Waiting for the worst to come i suppose.
the wind is a lot stronger than it was last night though - every time i woke up (which was about every 2 hours) it was just raining, not much wind. Now, its mostly strong wind and some rain.

Im right around the corner from you. It's worse now then before. I see a lot of branches but thats it. I was awake at 5am when i heard a huge explosion. Hoping it's over soon.

Medford is very very windy but still have power. Tons of branches down, neighbors lost some siding. raining but nothing too bad.
