Chemical Peel
Getting one tomorrow. What should I expect? I am hoping I am not too red! Anyone see good results when getting them regularly? My Derm suggested I get one after I complained that nothing will take my blackheads away.

Re: Chemical Peel
I've had two, one that was mild. The derm left it on for a few minutes and I had no major side effects a bit red, but nothing crazy. I noticed a slight change. I was doing it to fade some scars and sun spots. After that one I got another one about 5 months later and asked for it to be a bit stronger. My face peeled liked crazy after that one. I looked like a burn victim for 3 days. It wasn't painful after, but really unsightly. However, my skin never looked better for months after that.

Re: Chemical Peel
Depeneding on the strength. From mild redness to skin peeling and scabbing all over the face.

Re: Chemical Peel
I had a "peel" at Bocu in Commack that was done with all natural products and didn't really seem like a peel, just a different type of facial. I had some red spots on my face for the rest of the day but was fine after.

Re: Chemical Peel
I think there are lots of different kinds of peels--some are the facial scrub kind and some are the "I can't go to work for a week." kind. I think I've had a few in the middle. My facial lady said the longer you leave it on the better it works. She put it on my face and it felt like thousands of HOT scrubbing bubbles eating the skin off of my face and my eyes were tearing. I think she only left it on for 2-3 minutes. My skin was dry for a few days and I had a patch of skin that was pink on my chin but it wasn't that noticeable.
I'm not too sure about the long term benefits. I find that about 2 weeks after a treatment, my skin is back to where it was before the treatment.
