Re: Chicken Pox Vaccine...
Marron is getting it. I don't want her to have the Chicken Pox, or Shingles. Yes, there are many more vaccines than when we grew up, and there were many more for us than when our parents grew up. This is how we have wiped out many childhood illnesses. For some, Chicken Pox was nothing more than a mild inconvenience, but for others it can be much more serious.

Racheeeee....what are vaccinations like in England? Do children get the same type of schedule as here?
Let me get out my vaccinations book.. 2 months: Diptheria/tetanus/whooping cough/polio/hib/menengitis C 3 Months - Same 4 Months - Same 12-15 Months - MMR 3-5 years - Diptheria/tetanus/polio/acellular pertussis/MMR 12-14 years - Heaf Test/BCG if necessary 14-16 years - Diptheria/tetanus/polio
My book says that at birth Noah had: Menitomix at 1 day old (don't know what that is, can't find it...will keep looking) at 3 months he had a Streptococcal vaccine.
Here is a link to our schedule Vaccinations
We don't do the Varicella Vaccine but you can get it privately.

Re: Chicken Pox Vaccine...
I always said that I wouldn't get it for DS. But then I was thinking that all or most of the kids his age will get it, so there is less of a chance he will get it in school. If you don't get it as a child, it is much worse if you get it as an adult. So, I think I'm just going to get it for him.
