childcare issues - my MIL quit! help...
after an argument with my dh my mil decided she didnt want to watch my dd anymore... she was our full time babysitter... I am scrambling for a new childcare solution, my dad volunteered for 2 days but I am still looking for someone for 2 or 3 days...
Does anyone know anyone who might be interested in babysitting for my dd (6 months old) or any part time day care options in the huntington/east norhtport/commack area...??? even farmingdale area is ok- since my parents live in farmingingdale and they can pick up dd at 5pm if she is in that area.
I am looking for 2 or 3 days a week from 6:30 am to 6 pm, since both dh and I work in manhattan.
Any suggestions woudl be great!!!
thanks!!!!!

Wow, I don't. I'm so surprised that she would do that and take is out on the kid.
I would start by looking on the NYSChildCareCounsil website for day care providers in your area. Call around like crazy and see if someone can accomidate.
We found our daycare that way but she's in Levittown.

I'm sorry That's awful. This is the website that I used when I was looking for daycare. I hope it helps.
NYS Office of Child & Family Services
Most daycare facilities won't do part-time but I did find one in Lynbrook while I was looking. (They didn't take babies until they were at least 6 months old.) So hopefully you'll get lucky and find one also.

why don't you contact your local church? Sometimes they can recommend someone who takes care of kids from their house

Hey I am starting up a child care business in my home. I am in west babylon. I took college classes in early childhood education and I have a lot of experience with my neices and nephews and I am also a new mom. My mil will be helping with the children also. If you are interested fm me back.

Rainbow Chimes in Huntington Station takes babies on a p/t basis. I was going to enroll dd because I was having childcare issues and only needed them for 2x a week. The facilities was really nice and it had a great ratio of teachers to child.
