If I was this chick I would hire Judy Smith (The real Olivia Pope) and clear my name. I honestly do not think for one minute she made the decision to do this on her own...
totally
if it turns out he knew about this (which come on we all know he did) it will RUIN him
I don't know if I agree with this. Unfortunately 2016 is a long way away and people tend to forget....
Someone will remember and it will be brought up, especially during primaries and debates.

If he knew and she is taking the fall for him, then she is getting PAID big time! Because as you said this is basically ruining any chance of her getting another job.
Christie has a lot of friends. It will be interesting to see if one of them hires her for a cushy job in the near future. If he knew about it, there's not a lot keeping her from talking- but if he takes care of her she will keep her mouth shut.

How about the time he said he was going to take a bat to a 70 year old lady's face...
This guy is such a thug.
what?? that's crazy!!
Yep!
Article
DELETED ARTICLE FOR SPACE
I don't like him, but I think you are going a little far to say that he said he was going to take a bat to a 70 yo's face. He never said he was going to to hit her with anything - he wanted the reporters to criticize her instead of him. It was a poor phrase to use, but no where in there do I see him saying anything close to him wanting to hit her in the face.
I thought I remembered him saying to her face, the article proves me wrong that he didn't say those exact words.
But, C'mon that's a pretty disgusting thing to say about anyone let alone a 76 year old woman, Out loud at a press conference no less. At least she has a sense of humor, I did read she has a bat in her office with her face on it (or something to that effect)
I just don't think he meant it like that. It was a poor choice of words, but he just meant that the reporters should "beat up on" someone else instead of him.
I agree, when i read it I understood right away what he meant and it had nothing to do with anyone literally causing any type of physical harm to anybody.

I agree. I don't know if he has the means to pay her off in the way he would need to to keep her quiet (I have no idea what his financials are like I could be wrong, but he isn't a billionaire) BUT if he gets her a cushy gig somewhere , yeah that makes sense

Re: Chris Christie News Conference now
This has nothing to do with anything but do any of you guys just not SEE the weight loss? I know he had the stomach stapling or bypass whatever procedure but IDK I'm not seeing a big difference... unless he was SO big before that he is still real big but not as huge so it's hard to see, KWIM? Like deck furniture blowing off a cruise ship, so-to-speak.

I did think his face looked somewhat thinner, I didn't get a good look at the rest of him.

Chris Christie News Conference now
I hate him. never liked him, his policies, his rhetoric, and especially the way he treated teachers. I'll never forget him saying "get the hell off the beach" - real professional BUT Seriously, to ask him to step down over something so stupid that we don''t have any proof of him knowing about? idk... sounds a little sharkish to me. He fired his deputy Chief of Staff. Isn't she ultimately responsible?

Right because fat people never go to the gym.....
I think they should do the federal probe and if he was at all involved he should pay the consequence. If it was something the people under him did on their own they should pay. Simple as that.
I don't live in NJ and don't really have an opinion on him but it just makes me laugh how people leach on to anything. He never said he was going to hit that lady with a bat. It was a figure of speech.
As for his weightloss. Why does anyone care? Having weightloss surgery isn't a magic bullet. You don't instantly become thin. I know people that have had both bypass and lapband and it took a long time to lose the weight. They still have to eat healthy and workout.

Chris Christie News Conference now
I saw old video clips of him on the Sunday Morning shows this morning. He has lost a LOT of weight. I didn't think so either (agreed with you guys) until this morning. They are eating him alive over this scandal. in a way, they're right to ask the question, "if he can't trust his closest advisors as governor of NJ, will he be effective in choosing a cabinet as President?" On the other hand, they already have him elected in 2016.
