Re: Coming off BCP question

Honestly it to me about a full year to get back to whatever normal was for me. It was hard to tell b/c I started taking bc when I was in HS before then my periods were all over the place. After a few months I did start to become more regular but then would have one or two wacky cycles.
This is what I'm worried about. I have been on BCP for 12 years now and it was because my periods were HORRIBLE and they were all over that place before then....so if that is "normal" for me, I'm in for a hell of a time TTC
I wouldn't be too concerned about your cycles being like what they were before the bc 12 years ago. When you are young your cycles are usually all over the place. After you get of the bc and your body eventually regulates how ever long that takes you will most likely have more regular cycles. It may take awhile but it will happen. Remember any crazy cycles/symptoms are most likely not normal for you and just b/c you are trying to regulate.

I also had awful cramps after stopping bc but since that has pretty much faded.
