I'm saying they don't do their jobs. If they saw her post and moved it, then why don't they move the hundreds of posts that could be on other boards. I guarantee that it was reported by an LIF Veteran and it got moved. I said it before, I flagged a post to be moved because it was blatantly on the wrong board, but it was never moved because of who wrote it and who reported it. They can do what they want, it is their site, but when people like GoldenRod preach about helping out, it is really just annoying. They aren't helping out, they are feeding their own ego.
I understand what you're saying. I really don't know.
I've been around for awhile and have reported posts that I thought would get more action elsewhere (usually it's a home related thing bc that board does get a lot of action) and they're not always moved.
I don't know, either that shoots your theory down or I'm just not veteran enough for my opinion to count, but either way, who freakin' cares?

I give this thread a 7 out of 10 on the entertainment scale.
Just do what I do and never create threads. Then you don't have to worry about your threads being moved.
If I need to create a thread, it's usually because I need to find an answer to something. Hence the search function AND google is your friend!
Just a 7 out of 10? I really thought it was more entertaining, that's why I'm still reading and posting.

Out of straight curiosity not to  (even though I know it's almost impossible not to with this question) Why have you reported posts bc you thought they were in the wrong place? Don't you think replying to the OP and suggesting they may get a better answer on a different board is good enough? Maybe then you will get a little more feedback from the OP as to why they posted there and understand more. Like with the case of the OP of this thread.

True. But I exptected more after that and as I said it came up a little lame. I did update my previous post though.

There is no option at the bottom of my screen that says "Report post" - or maybe I am too blind to see it?? I am all in favor of keeping boards organized only for facilitating the Search feature in the future - but I cant find this Report Post" button??!

Oh believe me, I'm SURE there are people who report posts strictly to be a douche because they don't like the OP but I'd like to think for the most part posts are being moved to keep more order to the site itself.
I do happen to think this board is a bit bogus. It's really a "catch all" place and well, tbh, just about ANYTHING can be considered "FHF". If you're asking a question, looking for help, and someone answers, it can be considered "FHF" so I get the frustration some posters have.
I genuinely blame tptb for it. This site needs fewer, less specific boards and be more strict on the rules of posting. There shouldn't be ANY x-posts, that defeats the purpose of having different boards to begin with and it makes people NOT frequent other boards.

Look in the lower right hand corner of any post on LIF and you will see an ! inside a red triangle.
Click it and it brings you to the page about why you are reporting a post

look on a thread...at the bottom corner of very post is a triangle with an exclamation point in it, click that and the rest is self-explanatory.

Thank you! I just noticed that!! Wow! all this time on LIF and I didn't even know this..DOH! Well, until LIF Admins designate "board moderators" (much like City-Data forums is set up), I think they are giving many of us free reign to report posts..I dont think thats so bad - the LIF Admins have the final say in what gets moved anyway.

I agree with this. They didn't appoint a moderator but instead want everyone to "police" the boards themselves & if they deem it necessary to move them, they will.
It has nothing to do with who reports it or who posts it. I'm probably the poster with the most posts(pretty embarassing count actually) & I've gotten my posts moved too. I think anyone tellng you it's personal is trying to start cr@p - which I'm sure you don't need.
FTR, I think asking for a therapist belongs on relationships (for counseling) unless it's a physical therapist (then I'd send it to health). But it's not up to me/us to decide where it goes. It's the TPTB's job.

You could always report the thread, choose "other" and put in the comments that you'd like them to post on here....
