Convertible Car Seat confusion

I don't know which to buy. We cannot afford Britax. I need to buy 3 seats Chat Icon

I posted looking for recs a few weeks ago and got a few responses but when I read my Baby Bargains book they rated all of those poorly...

We bought the Graco Nautilus and realized we can't use it yet b/c you need to put it forward facing only and she is not a year yet.

I don't know what to get! Did anyone read Consumer Reports and what did they recommend?

We have the Graco ComfortSport. Rated highly by Baby Bargains and Consumer Reports and inexpensive.

Re: Convertible Car Seat confusion

Just throwing this out there...

but some police stations that install car seats, give car seats away for free (infant and convertible ones). My husbands police department does this and this is how we got a convertible seat for my in laws car. Chat Icon

I know how buying 3 of these can really add up Chat Icon, so this might help you out.

Isn't dd a year old next month?

We have two Evenflo Triumphs and I just love using them! They were highly rated by COnsumer Reports for safety and with a 20% off coupon from BRU it came out to around $100 for each.

same!!!
may be too big if you have a small-ish car though. I had trouble getting him in and out of the seat while rear facing in my car, Mazda 6 (4 door)

Wow, I didn't know they gave away carseats Chat Icon

She is 1 next month, but the end of the month and I don't know how much longer we can keep her in the infant carrier! We do have the one that goes up to 30 lbs but still, she is so uncomfortable! I am just so frustrated b/c I jammed two huge carseat boxes in my car and now have to re-jam them in to return them to get 2 different kinds!

I did like the Evenflow one but my DH's car is soo small and mine is tight too so it looked a tad to big Chat Icon

Well i know it's a taboo thing to do, but we switched jacen to front facing at 11 months.

Is she 20 pounds yet?

Yeah you could either go to a police station that installs carseats and find out if they have any, keep one you have and put it front facing early or return them and get others. The choice is yours! Chat Icon
