Convertible Carseats-- recommend yours please (sorry, I know it's been asked a million times)
Sorry for the question AGAIN, but the search function isn't working right now for me and I need to know soon.
Need a new one for MIL's car. I am a Britax addict, we have 3 Britax Boulevards in our cars. I'd love for MIL to get same one for her car (mainly for my youngest DD to use, she's 9 months), and while she'd totally buy it if that's what I wanted, I feel guilty making her spend the $$.
So please recommend something that is highly rated for safety that you have & like.
Thanks!

Re: Convertible Carseats-- recommend yours please (sorry, I know it's been asked a million times)
MyRide is a great one. Walmart.com usually has them for around 129
If you really want Britax, then maybe a Roundabout 55, that is $160 on Amazon.
FWIW, all car seats pass the same Federal safety tests. If this seat is for MIL it may be good to take her with you to try seats with your kids to make sure she can use it correctly.
I know my MIL, and Dh's grandmother who is 80 can both strap DD into the MyRide but they can't do the Blvd or TrueFit.

That's a good point. I knew I def wasn't getting a Blvd. for my MIL b/c they ARE a big pain to tighten at all, much less correctly.

We have a Graco in DH's car (Britax in mine). My MIL also has a Graco. I forget the name, but it was about $75 at Target, and while slightly less soft than the Britax, DS seems to like it well enough.

Whatever you do, get one that has higher than a 40 lb weight limit. DD outgrew her Britax Roundabout WAY too quickly!

YES. This.
The old classic Roundabout was only 40lbs FF.The new Roundabouts are bigger than the old ones and have a 55lb FF and 40lb RF limit.

We bought a Britax Roundabout for my dad's car and it does the job. We have an Advocate for us.

Re: Convertible Carseats-- recommend yours please (sorry, I know it's been asked a million times)
I just looked at the info on the Graco MyRide 65 and it looks like a GREAT option. The fact that it's rear-facing up to 40 lbs AND can be forward-facing up to 65 lbs with 5-pt harness is excellent.
In fact, I need another new seat for DD for our "school driver's" car, and I think I may go with this one! I am a HUGE fan of our Graco Nautilus, but it can't be used rear-facing, so I'm thinking maybe I'd get more use out of the MyRide 65 if we ever have another baby!! (and we have 3 Nautilus's between my car, DH's car, and my parents' car, so really NO need for another!).
ETA: The Evenflow Symphony 65 sounds pretty good, too. Rear-faces till 35 lbs instead of 40, but does switch to a booster which the MyRide 65 does not!

Britax Roundabout 50. DD loves it so far and I got it on sale at Target for 100. I saw them online there for 140 maybe. I would google if you are a Britax addict because I've seen the Roundabout on sale for good prices on various sites.

Evenflo Triumph Advance. LOVE this seat, so easy to adjust the straps and comfy for DS. It has a pretty high weight limit too.

Re: Convertible Carseats-- recommend yours please (sorry, I know it's been asked a million times)
we have the roundabout 50 for our DD (the roundabout 55 came out the year after we bought the 50-so thats the one out now I believe). but DD is not that big so it should last her prob till she gets into a bosster. I also heard the Graco my ride is good too. We have the nautilus for DS now, but that cant be rear facing so def not an option for your little one. Good Luck C!

yup same here. It's comparable to the Britax as in safety features and half the price.
