We are just starting out with researching the conversion, but I was thinking do we try and use up all the oil in the tank and hold off on getting refilled until we're almost out? Can I request to only fill 1/4 of the tank at a time? This whole process is a bit daunting so any tips/advice is greatly appreciated!

There are companies/people who will come and siphon off the gas in your tank, pay you (usually just about $1/gal), and then resell it cheap. But it's a messy process, so therefore, risky if the tank is in your house.

we try to use up everything there was very little left and we used slomins they just handled taking the oil out of it and removing the tank.

I didn't bother too look at places myself to do it I felt it wasn't worth my time to do so

Slomins removed your tank? Was their fee reasonable? I didnt realize they offered this service.
