Correct me if I’m wrong.
Aren’t we all supposed to stay in our homes right now? Meaning don’t have anyone over? My neighbor who is immune compromised, he has cancer and just had surgery a few weeks ago, is having family over right now, including his elderly parents. I know I should mind my business and I’m not gonna say anything. But this enrages me to my core right now. All over my town (I am essential and NEED to leave for work) teenagers walking around holding hands etc...
First nice day we have and people lose it and say **** it do whatever they want

Re: Correct me if I’m wrong.
I know. Driving back just now from picking up my prescription, I had to stop twice for people to break up basketball and lacrosse games going on in the middle of the side streets. I know these people from my block and they are NOT family. Just neighbors. All their kids mixing it up. If they are going to do that, we might as well be in school. Send them back then. Please.

You can get someone to come to your house for a "spa party". I keep seeing people asking in the community groups on FB. The admins have started kicking out anyone that even asks because even if no one replies to the post, the massage and nail people just message them.

Re: Correct me if I’m wrong.
People like this are the problem. I keep saying it because it’s true.
Today we had a drive by funeral for a friends dad. He passed from Covid19 and his mom is a cancer survivor and is home in quarantine. We all drove by their house with our hazards on and blew kisses from behind our car windows. She was at her front door and her kids and their families were standing separately on the lawn in their funeral attire. That was their dads funeral there were so many tears. My heart still breaks for the entire family.
Yet there are people having get together a and sneaking ways to get their hair done. We keep getting asked “ can you get my dog in for a haircut on the DL”. Yea NO. try that somewhere else people. We don’t mess around with people’s LIVES

yes they are, but on my school community page, we have people asking if any nail technician can come to their house to do their gel wraps to PM them?? Are you kidding me. They get the nastiest comments.

Does your friend live in East meadow? There was a drive by funeral for one of my daughters grandpas today also.

Because getting those tacky claw nails that are so in right now is soooo important. nobody is seeing them because you can't go anywhere but we need those gross claws looking perfect to post on Instagram. The things we value in this country thanks to vapid reality stars and "influencers " is truly disturbing. This society is probably due for some Darwinism. If only it was just these assholes who were affected by this....

I'm guessing the nail tech prob really needs the money if they do that. I read it's a 2 year license suspension and a $500 fine. I can't see why they would risk it. I bet some of them aren't even licensed to begin with, so I guess you can't lose your license if you don't have one to begin with. I haven't been to a cheap nail salon since I was in my 20's, but the faces on the licenses never matched the people anyway.
I even saw hair salons posting that they will mix your hair dye for $45, you pick it up and you apply it yourself at home. That's illegal too. I don't know how the salons around here are getting away with that.

They are probably freaking out that they have no income coming in and are trying to do business whatever way they can. Not to say it is right, but I can sympathize.

Correct me if I’m wrong.
I am mostly home except for walks alone (with my DH and kids) and driving aimlessly just to get out but I feel like people are following the rules near me from what I have seen (which granted is limited bc I am mostly home)

My neighbor is a police detective and his wife is a nurse. They have had other neighbors at their house for the past 3 weekends, like 3 or 4 families. They let their kids play with other kids on the block. They are both still working everyday. It makes me sick to my stomach. They are not the only ones in my neighborhood, I was walking the dog Sunday morning and one neighbor had their fire pit in the driveway and chairs stacked up on the side of their porch, like they had a party the night before.
Wow! They're essential workers and are probably around potentially infected people every day at work! Why would they invite people over? That's so irresponsible, particularly given their occupations. It's their job to tell people to stay home and they're not following the rules? Amazing!

That is especially bad since cops and nurses are high risk to get this! People are so selfish

Yeah, we have family members that are police and nurses and hospital staff. You couldn't pay me to hang out with them right now lol. Just thinking here though... if the people they are inviting over are also essential workers with high risk jobs, maybe they don't see it as an additional risk.
Also, if you've already had it this year, more than likely you wouldn't catch it again. So those people can be out and about without judgement. Maybe these people had it already. I hope the serological testing is made readily available soon.

Maybe they did have it already, good point. I'm surprised no one has reported them yet though. I know in my community group on FB, they are shaming people that have other people over, etc. Some of them post pics of the people, some streets.
I wonder if we will all get bracelets if we have had it or are clear (you will get the reference if you have seen the movie, Contagion)

My entire County has 63 cases. I would be amazed that 10 -20 of those cases live in my neighborhood and have already recovered and are hanging out. But it is nice that people are still giving others the benefit of the doubt.
Oh, you must not live in NY then.
