CPSE and PT services
Does anyone have experience with the CPSE And only PT services? We are in the Smithtown school district And have DS's meeting on Tuesday. He has had his evaluations and he is on the border of qualifying so I'm getting worried. DS has been receiving PT through EI since he was 15 months old. He will be 3 in June. He still struggles with fluidly going up and down stairs, jumping and some balance type issues. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks so much!

DD has received PT since she was 3 for a femoral anteversion and overall low tone. She's almost 7 and still receives p/t. Her therapist has already told us she will most likely continue throughout elementary school since her progress is slow.
Although p/t is not the only service she receives (she's autistic)-it sounds as though, based on what your son's limitations are, he'll most likely be approved. Stairs pose a huge safety issue at home and in a school environment.

Thank you for the advice! The meeting went well and they approved PT for the school year! I am so relieved!
