Crib Rail Guards

Okay, we have a lifetime crib, and I'm having a hard time finding anything to cover the sides with.

We bought the gummi rail thing, but despite several tries, it will not adhere well. This could be happening because he already had tooth marks on the rail, the instructions say the rail should have none.

The plastic guards do not seem to come in a size wide enough to cover the lifetime crib rails. We bought a cloth cover that covers the frontrail of the crib, but it's too long to cover the sides.

Has anyone found anything that works on this style of crib, on the sides? I don't even mind the tooth marks per se, but I don't like him ingesting whatever is in the finish.

Thanks!

I don't have too much advice because I had the same problem. DD already had bite marks in her crib and the sticky crib rail didn't hold either. At Bellini, where I got my crib they had a plastic thing that you can tie on and supossedly you can't bite through it. I bought it and couldn't get it on but you might have more luck. i'm sure it fits most cribs and I think you can return it if it doesn;t.

Thanks for your reply! There is a Bellini near us--I should measure the rail before I go and see if it will fit.

I'm getting fed up with a lot of the childproofing stuff actually--it seems like half of it doesn't work or doesn't fit, the outlet covers we got don't work either and we wound up getting the cheapy ones.

I'm also thinking maybe I can buy the long cloth cover, cut it in the middle, and sew it together again. I may take it off today and see if that will work.
