Re: Crock Pot Pulled Pork
Here's mine! You don't have to do the long cool-down process if you don't care about the sauce being a bit greasy, but I like to do it this way if I have time. I also find that the shoulder makes the most tender pulled pork, but I know many people will use a loin.
Pulled Pork Approx. 7lbs bone-in pork shoulder, skin trimmed 2c ketchup 2c BBQ sauce (we like Sweet Baby Ray's) 2 large onions, sliced, diced or chopped 2-3 tblsp chopped garlic 2 packets Chinese mustard (opt) 1/4 c Worcestershire 1/2 c brown sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper Mix ingredients in slow cooker and rub all over pork. Cook on low 12 hours. Cool at room temp 1.5 hrs then in fridge until fat hardens. Skim fat off top of sauce. Remove and pull pork using 2 forks, and return meat to sauce. Heat and serve, adding extra bbq sauce as needed. This makes about 5 lbs of meat.

Re: Crock Pot Pulled Pork
Wow that is an intense recipe. I use the cheater method. I use a 3-4 pound pork loin. Put about a cup of my fave barbeque sauce in and 2 cups of water. Cook on low for about 4-6 hours. (my crock runs very hot though). Then I take out the meat, shred with a fork and mix in more bbq sauce until it reaches the flavor/consistency I desire.

Re: Crock Pot Pulled Pork
DH makes amazing CP Pulled Pork. He takes a piece of pork (I don't cook so not sure what part of the pork ) and he pours a small bottle of Stewart's Root Beer. He cooks it on low for 7-8 hours and when it starts shredding, he pours in a bottle of BBQ sauce. It's 100% delicious and super easy (except if you're like me )

Re: Crock Pot Pulled Pork
mine is super simple.
i put a 5-7lb pork butt or shoulder in the crock put with some cut up onions and a can of root beer. sometimes i add liquid smoke. (if you want you can rub the meat with whatever seasonings you like before putting in crock pot)
cook for 6-8 hours. take out and shred meat, drain liquid from pot. put back in pot with your fave bbq sauce (i like sweet baby rays honey hickory) and heat it for 15-20 mins. serve!
