Crockpot BBQ Chicken- Delicious!
Had to rave about this. I made it last night. It was so flavorful and the house smelled so yummy while it was cooking all day. Reminded me of summer.
I didn't have Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce in the house so I just used good old Kraft BBQ sauce. I added a little less red pepper flakes and I used fresh garlic that I minced up in the magic bullet in addition to the garlic powder. I also added a dash of onion powder.
I put the chicken in partially frozen as well.
It was so good!

Re: Crockpot BBQ Chicken- Delicious!
Do you thing a whole chicken could be cooked this way instead of cutlets?

I would think so. You'd just have to adjust the cooking time on it I'd guess and make sure the sauce fully coats the whole chicken.

My DH had bought this red potato, red/green pepper and string bean frozen vege mix in BJ's. It was pre-seasoned and delicious on it's own, but kind of mixed in with the sauce of the chicken it was excellent. The website said to serve with potato salad or cole slaw as another option.

Re: Crockpot BBQ Chicken- Delicious!
Thank you!!! This is cooking in my crock pot right now and smells amazing!!!
(I'd be lying if I said my house smelling like summer had nothing to do with me making this... I may rub sun sunscreen on my arms, clothes my eyes and pretend!! )

Crockpot BBQ Chicken- Delicious!
Made this last night and it was absolutely delicious. Just wanted to share that I put it on low for 6 hours (my chicken went in frozen). I think 5 hrs would have been plenty. The chicken was a tad bit dry. Not terribly dry but an hour less and I think it would have been perfect! The chicken was so soft and the bbq sauce was really yummy! Thanks for sharing!

Yes I lowered mine down to. I started out at 6 hours since it was pretty frozen, but watching it thorughout the day I realized I should lower it down to 5. I deducted an hour from the clock and it came out perfect. Glad you enjoyed it!
