d a m n you charley horse!!!!!
that's twice already that i woke up with a charley horse in my left calf....all i do is wake up DH screaming in pain IT HURTS!!! weird though that i can still feel the soreness in my calf...will it go away!??!

Ugh - I'm so sorry! They stink! A friend told me to eat a banana when I get one - but it never seemed to help! I hope it goes away soon!

When you wake up with one, put your foot flat on the floor. It helps them to go away.

Ugh. I had one. I had DH grab my toes and pull them towards my leg.. It made it stop instantly. But, I was still sore the next day!

Omg they are the worst!!! I had one for the 1st time last week and I woke up screaming and crying. Oive never felt pain like that. DH rubbed it out but can I tell you a week later and I'm still sore! I hate them!!!!

Don't point your toes!!!! Mine hurt for about 4 days after! Try flexing your foot... bring your toes towards your shin.

I get them daily. It is a total nightmare. Don't ever point your toes!!! My calves hurt all the time. I don't seem to get any relief in my calves! Sorry I don't have better news!!

UUuugggh They do HURT!
With DS, I'd eat a banana or just lay in bed and flex my foot, slowly.
Sometimes I'd get up and walk around too.
Knock on wood, haven't had them yet with this pregnancy, but, OUCH, I remember them.

Same thing happens to me!! It's usually when I am changing positions in the middle of the night. Holy moly its excruciating!

I feel your pain on this one! Definitely don't point your toes because it only makes it worse. Try flexing your foot slowly or if you can stand up, stretch your calf that way. I found mine was caused by dehydration and lack of potassium. As soon as I started drinking more water and eating a banana sometime during the say, they went away. I hope they stop soon for you, too!

i just got one last night  one girl posted about pointed your toes towards your knees (i think) when you stretch its been helping but last night i forgot when i woke up and stretched with my toes pointing straight out

I had one so bad the other night that I was hysterically crying in bed...poor DH was so confused as to why I was crying..I couldn't get any words out, it went on for a few minutes and now 3 days later the calf is STILL sore!!!!! I didn't have one this bad with johnny, but i did have a few and they stunk then too!!
