Re: Deleted
Getting to 70% and Coumo lifting restrictions. Not sure how true as they took it down and then put it back up on their page.

Once NYS hits 70% restrictions will be lifted. We’re currently at 69.9% so we’ll hit it super soon. VT hit 80% yesterday and dropped all restrictions.

News12 posted last night we hit 70 but then after I posted on fb, it disappeared. Then I went back on their site and they put it back up. Makes no sense. Didn’t want to spread rumors over here.

Yes and pretty sure he said 2 doses for restrictions to be lifted but News12 is running with the story still.

It's one dose.
I am pretty sure other media outlets are waiting for him to make a formal announcement - I assume later on today. Yesterday morning we were at 69.9%.

Yes CDC says 1 dose. Let’s see if he moves the goal posts again to say 2 as I don’t trust him.

I thought it was about him saying...”if you’re vaccinated, u don’t have to worry about the unvaccinated. U’re protected”. Which clearly didn’t apply to the almost 27k children back in 2019 when he kicked them out of school for not being vaccinated. He sickens me.

He is overall disgusting and needs to be out. Listening to the applauds yesterday while he spoke was sickening. These puppets that work for him and follow him are horrible.

Re: Deleted—Waiting on the King for 70% status
Definitely 70% at one dose:
https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-announces-statewide-vaccination-rate-699
... Governor Cuomo said. "As we approach our goal of 70 percent of New Yorkers with at least one dose of their vaccine, we also reflect on all we've been through. ...
According to the numbers posted, and the vaccination rate, it looks like we should pass 70% either today or yesterday, depending on when the numbers get updated.
I really hope things start opening up a lot more.

What restrictions are left to be lifted?
Indoor capacity limits, social distancing and health screenings in offices, restaurants, theaters and fitness centers.
Honestly doesn’t sound like much as no one seems to do these anymore IME.

What else do you think need to be opened? Honestly as I don’t see much not opened. Maybe not at 100% and some places still ask for masks but there is not much left.

Yeah my husband's gym is pretty much at full capacity with no masks and he said they moved the treadmills back in that they had to remove for distancing. That was last week.
I am not sure about the restaurants if they have to still do the 6 feet distance on the tables- I know that was an issue even at full capacity due to space limits.

For me, it's a restriction that should have been lifted months ago. I want to go camping with my Scout Troop. We can spend all day together, following whatever the current rules are for masking and distancing, but we can't go into separate tents, 10 feet apart, and sleep overnight...

It looked like the other night when we went out there was not 6 feet anymore in between tables.

That is just udderly stupid. Who ARE these people who make up these rules????

And also the mandate of masking the kids. It seems that one is a big one for Cuomo to let go.

Re: Deleted—Waiting on the King for 70% status
I may or may not agree with all of the previous restrictions, but I could see the logic in most of them. Especially at first, when we didn't know very much. The camping thing never made any sense. Last summer, following all of the rules, I had 50 kids in my yard pretty much all day for a week for a makeshift "summer camp" from roughly 8am to 10pm. After spending all day together (with masks and/or distancing), they all had to go home to sleep.
Even if they said 20 feet between tents, I would find a way to make that happen.... Nope... indoors with masks for 10 hours is fine. 8 hours outdoors, in separate tents 10 feet apart; no good.
I gave up trying to follow the logic.

I think that will be the last unfortunately. I know kids only have 2 weeks but give them a break.

Our local Girl Scout service unit is still requiring all meetings be outdoors with masks and 6 ft apart. No food allowed.
Apparently one brownie leader arranged for an ice cream truck as an end of the year treat and all hell broke loose.

There is no logic. I think most places have thrown this out the door now so basically whatever he lifts, probably hasn’t been done in the last 4 weeks of the lifting of the mask mandate.
