What restrictions are left to be lifted?
For me, it's a restriction that should have been lifted months ago. I want to go camping with my Scout Troop. We can spend all day together, following whatever the current rules are for masking and distancing, but we can't go into separate tents, 10 feet apart, and sleep overnight...
Our local Girl Scout service unit is still requiring all meetings be outdoors with masks and 6 ft apart. No food allowed.
Apparently one brownie leader arranged for an ice cream truck as an end of the year treat and all hell broke loose.
How? Parents complained or someone reported them?

Re: Deleted—Waiting on the King for 70% status
Does anyone know if they still require testing before attending weddings/parties at catering halls? I can't find any updated info on this. I have a sweet 16 next month and I'm hoping this has changed and I don't need to have my toddlers tested.

And the funny thing is- at schools they can do all this. My DD had the ice cream truck come for the 5th grade class to celebrate their moving up to middle school last week. All went outside to get ice cream- no masks since it was outside. Why are the girl scouts so much stricter than school?

I may or may not agree with all of the previous restrictions, but I could see the logic in most of them. Especially at first, when we didn't know very much. The camping thing never made any sense. Last summer, following all of the rules, I had 50 kids in my yard pretty much all day for a week for a makeshift "summer camp" from roughly 8am to 10pm. After spending all day together (with masks and/or distancing), they all had to go home to sleep.
Even if they said 20 feet between tents, I would find a way to make that happen.... Nope... indoors with masks for 10 hours is fine. 8 hours outdoors, in separate tents 10 feet apart; no good.
I gave up trying to follow the logic.
There is no logic. I think most places have thrown this out the door now so basically whatever he lifts, probably hasn’t been done in the last 4 weeks of the lifting of the mask mandate.
When it comes to being responsible for 20 kids that aren't mine, I have to follow all the rules as posted, even if I don't agree with them ...

I was just at a wedding at a big catering place and no testing or vaccine proof or masks.

As of right now if you have under 500 people, no testing.
No masks needed either.

Another troop within the unit found out and reported them. The leader got a written warning or something like it.

Yup the seniors had a food truck for a couple of months every Friday.

Yes, this is exactly it. DD’s leader keeps trying to talk me into being co-leader and there is no way. I have so much respect for you and everyone else who puts up with it but still makes such an effort to give the kids a good experience. Really, I know it isn’t easy.

Going to a wedding next month on LI and yes, it's required. Either a PCR or Rapid Test within 72 hours ( I think) of the reception or a vaccination card dated at least 2 weeks prior to event.
ETA: I guess it depends on the hall and what restrictions they want to have in place.
On the flip side I went to a bridal shower this past weekend with no restrictions- masks weren't even being enforced, though tables were set far apart.

It's not required anymore. My sister is getting married next month on LI. They lifted that requirement a while ago.

Is the wedding having over 500 people? If not, it was lifted in May that you don’t have to test or have vaccine or wear masks.

The hall is still requiring it- at least that's what the bride said at her bridal shower this past weekend.
ETA: It's all moot to me, I'm vaccinated as of April.

She really needs to check then as I went to a wedding in May and it was all lifted then.

Gotcha. My sister is requesting unvaccinated people test prior, but not requiring it. My DH and I are vaccinated, but my DS isn't. I do not plan on having him tested.

Really? I wouldn’t be happy with that but I guess that is her choice. It was wonderful to have no testing and no masks that entire weekend between going out and the wedding.

Exactly. I hate going to weddings anyway so if they want to make you get tested- perfect excuse. I have to buy a dress, give a gift, give up a day, and now I have to make time in my crazy schedule this month to get a test at the exact right time so it's still valid but the results are back in time. No thanks.
