Yeah, no one warns you about the first sono...it's an internal sono. 
yeah i wish i knew what i was getting myself into at my first appointment.
nina, picture a long, semi-narrow dildo attached to a cord. it gets lubed up with a condom and everything! you or the sono tech sticks it in and viola! sonogram!
By "long" she means about 14 inches. 
DH may get jealous!

oh joy
My hubby keeps asking me “do I have to be there for ‘that’ one” meaning the internal. I keep telling him that it’s NOTHING compare to birth so shut up and get used to it! LOL
That being said, I didn’t take him to the first visit because I knew a Pap was involved and for some unknown reason I feel awkward having my husband seeing me allow another man to look, feel, play, poke, prod and otherwise man handle my ‘stuff’!
He had to be there for a quick internal cervix check and what I all a finger probe after one of my bleeds and he said later he just stared at the wall on the opposite side!! LOL poor man!
