I don't even wanna say how good I have it. My DH works nights and almost always gets up with the kids.

He feeds, changes & dresses the baby and feeds my dd. He gets me up about 9 to drive my dd to school.

He gets about 4 hours of sleep a day! He likes to give me a break. He knows how much I love my sleep and HATE getting up in the AM and it gives him a little time with the kids since he's gone from mid afternoon until the next day.

If he didn't get up with them he'd never see them.

(He also does laundry. cleans etc! I have it soooo good!!!)

Yes Almost every morning he gets up a half hour before me. Then he will let me sleep in on on some weekends.. most of the time we get up together.

We both work. I rarely get up with her on the weekends....

That being said, I usully dont stay in bed much longer just because once I am up, I am up.

At least one weekend day he gets up with them and gives them breakfast, etc. Like yesterday morning I slept until 8am but today I got up with them.

During the week he leaves for work right around the time they get up (6:45), so getting up with them on the weekend is not hard for him. He gets up by 5:30 anyway unless he is out the night before.

DH gets up almost every morning with the boys. Sometimes I get up with them sometimes I'll stay in bed until 8 or so

DH is almost never home for dinner and bedtime so the morning is his time with them. He feeds them breakfast, plays with them and will sometimes drop DS off at school. He is so good

DS usually sleeps til 8:30/9 on the weekend, but DH and I take turns on doing the morning diaper/breakfast routine. I usually do Saturday and he takes Sunday. It gives the other person an extra 30 minutes of down time for tv, more sleep, computer, whatever.

now that i'm pg and up early puking at 6:30 everyday anyway, sometimes I just take him.

he is always up at 5:30 so the one day he gets to sleep late i let him.
dd wakes at 7:30 so its not that bad

I'm a SAHM. During the week DH is gone by the time we get up. I wake up to Jack's lunch made and in his backpack and the boys' breakfast prepped every morning (just have to add milk/make formula). Every weekend DH gets up with the boys and gives them breakfast and lets me sleep in (without me asking, usually until about 8). I wake up to D&D coffee on my computer desk and smiling kids He takes Jack and does the weekly food shopping on Sat morning so I can get some stuff done around the house while having to keep an eye on just the baby. Sundays, he helps with laundry and cleaning. I realize I am very lucky

ps....we are not all peaches and cream do a search for my posts on the garbage bag fairy and how socks miraculously find the hamper

He always offers but I feel bad since he works crazy hours...sometimes when he wakes up late on Saturdays I will take a nap :)

Weds and Fridays DD is at my in-laws and DH picks her up and hangs out there for a little so I take my 3 hours naps...feels sooo good!

we usually alternate the weekend days. 1 day i get up with DS and he sleeps in a little. and the other DH gets up and i'll sleep in (a lot..LOL).

We intend to take turns, but I end up getting up most of the time. If I ask him to, he will, but most days I'm up anyway (we both work so this only relates to the weekend for us; during the week we are both up around the same time).

DH gets DD up, changed and fed every weekend morning. He is very good that way. But it is not like I actually sleep in. I basically get up about 20 minutes after they do just because they are loud and DD keeps calling for me.

Yes...we take turns on the weekend. One day he gets up early with DD and the next I do, that way we each get 1 day to sleep in. We both work full time though.

I have to ask really nicely, but even then, it is somewhat of a big deal, and takes alot of coercing out of bed! Usually, by that point, I am up already anyway!

Anyone else's DH not "hear" DC when they are awake? DS does not cry when he wakes up, but starts talking, etc., but apparently DH is deaf to this.

Nope...DH is up & out of the house by 7am on the weekends to go to the gym. I am a SAHM & do not get a break at all on any morning. Not to mention, is there ever a time I go out of the house without one kid attached to me regardless of DH being home

Yes. We both work FT and before I was PG with #2, we would take turns on the weekend - 1 would get up early on Saturday and the other would get up early on Sunday. I am now 8 months PG and not sleeping well at all so DH has been getting up with DS both mornings on the weekend so I can sleep in.

Yes....on Saturdays he gets up with her, on Sundays I do.
