I'm so sorry.
I know its tough now, but I think things like this happen for a reason. My DH's old boss went away for a vacation, and never came back. It gave DH an opportunity to start his own business that he probably never woudl have done on his own if that kid of opportunity didn't present itself.

What if he ventures out on his own and starts his own business? If he has the experience, it's worth a shot.
Maybe he could do some small time advertising.

just be aggressive on the internet and newpaper .. settle for a job in a good complany right now is the way to go even though it may not be what you want to do ultimately if u r smart you will go far quickly in good companies
