Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
ok more........ 4. Do you own a sled? Clean it up and use it as a decoration or even on top of the table to hold platters of food.
5. Make a garland of mittens. Attach every pair your family owns to a ribbon and hang it across the room. If you don't have enough gloves, you can pick up some extras at the dollar store.

THANK YOU!! perfect!!!! another thing you could do is get some flameless candles...the battery operated ones and put them on little mirror and sprinkle some snowflake glitter on the mirror....child friendly that way!!!!! glad you liked some of the ideas!!!! i love the mitten garland idea. you could just get a clothesline and buy some white and blue mittens at the dollar store and get white clothespins....i think i'm going to do that as a Christmas decoration!!!!! i love winter so for me to give you ideas was really fun!!!!! keep me posted on your progress hon!!!!

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
I did snowflake cupcakes once, and they came out super cute. I made a snowflake template and placed it under a piece of parchment paper. Then I melted some white chocolate, and put it in a squeeze bottle and traced the outline of the snowflake in white chocolate. I let them dry and then placed them (carefully) on top of cupcakes iced in a light blue.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I am trying to do this theme and wanted to see if any other girls had ideas to share!

It's a great idea. I would probably do a lot of things with either white or silver glitter.

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
I was going to do a winter onederland theme and wanted it baby blue, white and silver. But, I am going with a Hello Kitty instead. Here were some of my ideas.....blue hawaiian punch with sherbert. If you are serving alcohol to adults, you can spike it. Rock Candy (baby blue and white), A table with assorted candy in glass bowls or vases so that the kids could leave with a bag. Jordan Almonds in blue and white. FAvors- instant Hot Chocolate they have personalized ones and you can pair it with chocolate covered marshmellows on a stick and place it in a clear goodie bag with a ribbon. I did them with coffee for our wedding but paired it with clear rock candy sticks. good luck

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
Just wondering if anyone else had planned a onderland party yet? We decided last night that this will be the theme. I am happy and sad. The outfits that I loved don't really work with the theme but I found someone that is making an outift for DD with blue/silver and snowflakes which is the main idea we are going with.
I also think I picked out a centerpiece idea and decorations. And also we are going to do a hot chocolate station or hot tatas for the adults
And I am going to do the ice fishing thing and I found some winter carnival things. If we do it in the house it will be small with just about 4 kids so I will set the games up in the basement.
I am so excited. Pretty much picked out an invite. Now the favor is what I am stuck on. I was thinking snowflake cookies.
Oh and the cake I want to do a cupcake cake. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
We are doing a winter onederland theme for DS birthday...I'm still not 100% sure what we are doing for centerpieces. I think We are doing white branches with glitter snowflakes hanging. I'm making them and they are becoming a bit of a pain so I'm open to other suggestions .... For favors we are doing snowmen sippy cups. For the adults I want to do a chocolate snowflake lollipop or a snowflake cookie. Any other ideas???

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
I just did a search for them but no any cookie place could make them. They aren't hard.
I love the branch idea. I saw that when I did a search for winter wedding centerpieces because there isn't much for the Onederland them on the internet. I would love to do that if we rent a hall. If it is at our house, it would look silly
Here are just some other things I have saved. Image Attachment(s):

I have to tell you, I just LOVE this idea!!! I wish I had a baby in the winter so I could do it. And I have the perfect dress for your DD to wear. It just came out this week in Gymboree:

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
I just found all the stuff to make this candy table.
Now I have to work on invitations.
What kind of cake is everyone having? I am only doing a mini cake just for Alexa to eat and then I am making cupcakes for everyone else. I bought the cupcake stand yesterday and I bought these adorable edible snowflake candies for the top of the cupcakes

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
I am having a joint 1st/36th b-day party for my DD and sister on 12/26 and am doing a "Winter Princesses" theme. My DD's cake is pink fondant with sugar snowflakes and my sister's cake is an icy blue fondant with a sugar tiara. We're also getting cupcakes with wintery decorations like ice skates, snowmen, mittens etc. I got a mint green tulle skirt and ballerina stockings from Gymboree and DD will wear that with her "1" T-shirt from janie & Jack with a cardigan over it and a silver headband. We're getting my sister a tiara from Oriental Trading. I'm treating her to hair and makeup that day. I'm hoping all goes well and it is good weather!

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
We are doing cupcakes from cupcakes catering. I am not brave enough to do them myself.
I got the invitations from vistaprint, they are blue and white with snowflakes, no pictures, since the invites went out I will use pics from their 1yr photo shoot for the ty.

Re: Did anyone do a Winter "ONE"derland Birthday?
My mom and I went shopping for party decorations when I was on LI over Thanksgiving. We found a lot of snowflake/snowman stuff at Cedarhurst Paper and Party City. I also found snowflake balloons to use. We ordered the cake, which will have blue and white icing and snowflakes and snowmen on it. DS also gets his own smash cake. I found lollipop molds so I'm attempting to make those. I still can't believe he'll be 1 in about a week.
