Did anyone here go into labor before their scheduled c-section?

Big fear of mine... just curious....

And if so, what was the outcome? Did you end up with the c-section anyway, or did you go through with a vaginal birth?

My friend did. She went to the hosptial and had a section anyway. She was too scared to try VBAC.

DS was 10 days early (non scheduled c/s, but ended up in c/s)..
Im nervous I may go early again..

I'm concerned about this too. I'm scheduled for two weeks from today at 39 weeks. I like the idea of having it planned, especially with the 2nd so I can make arrangements for my toddler. Going into labor earlier than that would be very inconvenient but not much I can do to avoid it!

This is definitely something I have been worrying about as well. My OB does the scheduled sections on Wed so I'm scheduled for June 3rd (which will be 38 weeks 6 days). I went into labor with DD at 38 weeks 3 days and delivered at 38 weeks 4 days. The OB said I "could" go early but that you never know - some people are later for their 2nd. For me they expect this one to be bigger than DD (she was 9lbs 4ozs) and she failed to progress (I never made it past 7 cm), failed to descend and flipped sunny side up, even though my water broke on its own and I went into labor on my own. So I'm not a good candidate for a VBAC. I was told I simply go straight to the hospital at the first sign of labor and they will immediately section me.

Well sort of..I has a scheduled induction on 10/27 went into labor 10/24...

my friend had her son 1 week before her scheduled c -section..

yes--i did-with the twins..
here's the thing-I cannot deliver naturally and had 2 prior c-sections.I was scared of the scheduled c-section-that as it neared its all that I would thinkabout and it would consume me..and I would build the fear up in my head.
Truth be told--your body will 99.9% talk to you--you will know it way before it happens.
I just felt weird-woke at night and has to sleep on the couch-went to the doc the next day was 2 centimeters and went right in-(of course after going home-getting my back and paying my car insurance)
JUJu always made fun that it was a great geico commerical.
My dd I went in 10 centimeters dilated and I had pains before I went---I never had a pregancy completely without a twinge or a cramp-you will know---

I wish I would go into labor early!! I am done. I don't want to wait until Feb 2nd!!!

If I go into labor before I am going to see if I can go vaginally. I am not scared at all. I am actually excited if that happens.

I did. My c-section was scheduled for 10/24/08 (DS was due 10/28 but was breech). My water broke on 10/12/08 and DS was born by c-section on 10/13/08.

I had a scheduled C/S on the 22nd at 2pm. My water broke late night on the 21st and I had a C/Son the 22nd at 2am. So yes I still go a C/S , but it also depends why your C/S was scheduled. Mine was for my health reasons so no matter what they had to do a C/S .

My friend did as well. She started contracting 8 weeks early. She went to the hospital and htey stopped the contractions...
the 2nd time it happened they told her tomorrow as the day...she opted not for a VBAC because she tried pushing #1 out for hours and needed a c/s anyway so decided not to do it with her second. but they did give her the option.

No, but I was actually wishing I would have!

My friend had this happen THREE times!! First one the baby was breech so she had no other option; second one she briefly considered VBAC, but ultimately didn't and third one it was c-section all the way...especially since she was getting her tubes tied with that one!!
