Did anyone take a very short maternity leave?
Thank you so much everyone for the feedback and of course, the congratulations! I'm glad to see it IS indeed doable, but of course, I know it might not happen. I'll see how the birth goes and then decide.

It is doable, but not something I'd personally be comfortable with. There are women in my office that were back around the 3 week mark.
However, if you're planning to BF there is no way you can go to work after 3 weeks.

I'm also a teacher. I'm actually due in July, and I'll be going back at the start of the year 7 weeks later. So a bit longer than 3 weeks, but I can understand where you're coming from. I also think that your dedication is amazing. And congrats!

You know my situation - a bit longer than 3 weeks but I'm going back at 6.5 weeks AND I'm BFing so we'll see how that goes!
But also I wanted to add that *I* can read to your students if need be! Play it by ear but don't feel pressured to come back for that week, we can work around it!
