Did anyone's DC outgrew diaper sizes before they were potty trained?
DS is a size 5. The next size is 6. He is only 18 months. Will he outgrow diapers before he is potty trained?

yep, they make a 7..plus..around 18 mths your DC reaaaaly starts to slow down growth wise

Target carries the Cruisers in 7s Sophie!
That isn't huge tho, I guess it is the fit of the diaper. Christopher is 24.5 lbs and just went into the 5's yesterday.

I worry about the same thing, at 12 months DS was 30lbs and 32 inches in a size 5...

BRU sells the value box of Pampers Cruisers in size 7 - just picked one up and they are well stocked.

Cailen is a size 6 and they are getting small. I don't want to have to order size 7's if I don't have to - but it looks like we might...
ETA - i just noticed you ladies posted where size 7's are sold - i will have to check it out!!!

pull ups have velcro sides like diapers and i'm sure they have larger sizes. don't know if there is a price difference though.
josh is still in a size 4 pampers... i guess we are pretty scrawny here.

Jack is in size 6 at 18 months.
I also believe that I saw Cruisers Size 7 today at BRU!

I think it depends on how the weight is distributed. DS's stats were very close to that at his 18 month visit and at 20.5 months, he's still in size 5s. He's ever leaked through the, even at night, so I keep him in the same size. We've actually been in 5s for almost a year.
Anyway, he could end up stay in the 6s for awhile.

Sophie - I should also say that Jack was in size 5s for what felt like forever. Probably from about 12mnths to 18mnths. You will probably have some more time in them!

Wow really? That is def. encouraging to know for my back! Jack at 18 months was almost the same - 30lbs and 35inches. Must be the name

My DS went into a size 6 I want to say around 15 months and he is still a solid size 6 at 33 months. He is probably 34lbs now. DD is 28lbs and I think 32 inches tall and I just put her into 5's. I use Pampers Baby Dry on them and if they only leak at night then I buy a small bag of diapers a size bigger.

I dont really know how to explain it...
But while they still get bigger and heavier that part of them stays the same size...(for the most part)
My daughter Ariel wasnt potty trained until she was 4..She was averaged sized...she never got out of a size 4 diaper b/c her pelvic area just isnt that big.
They get more proportionate..their legs get longer...
Kind of how they grow into their heads....kwim?

You have to be careful though.
Pull ups arw not like real diapers. They are mainly used for Potty Training.
What you want is EASY-Ups.
