The doctor actually broke my water when I was already at the hospital. I initially went to the hospital when I lost my mucous plug. I was having contractions every 5 minutes and I was 3 centimeters.

mine broke in the middle of the night at home.
i wasn't 100% sure so I called the doctor.

my water broke at 6 am... I called the doctor, she told me to go to the hospital... anyways, I still took a shower and put my make-up on lol we were at the hospital at 8am...

Mine did and then the contractions came on immediately full force. We called the doctor and went straight to the hospital. WHen I got there I was already 4 cm dilated.

Mine broke with my 1st. I called my Dr and she said to go straight to the hospital.
My son was born exactly 12 hours later.
I didn't let them stick me with any petocin though, and G-d knows they tried...   
I just let the labour progress naturally.

Mine did at 8pm. I called the doctor because I had been having contractions all day but he didn't tell me to go to the hospital. He told me to wait until my contractions were 5 minutes apart. Funny thing - right after I hung up the phone my contractions started coming 5 minutes apart so after an hour I called him back and told him I was going to the hospital.

Mine did. I thought i was going to pee forever. i called the doc and she told me to wait until i was having contractions. My water broke at 1am on June 24th and I didnt get contractions until 12pm. I actually went to the hospital at 3pm. So i labored awhile at home which was good b/c i was able to rest a bit.

mine was leaking and it was greenish in color (meconium) so I called the dr and they had me go to the hospital. I was going to be induced in a few hours anyway.

Mine did we called the dr and he met us there but its not ike you have to run, youll have time
Same with us and even after it broke and we finally got to the hospital I had a c-section anyway.

I called L&D and they told me to come in. You only have like 36 hours to deliver after your water breaks because the risk of infection goes up.
