Did you change bottle once DC turned 1 or toddler age?
DS is 14months on the 28th and I've been still using our Avent bottles and wondering if I need to get new ones, like those long skinny ones?

We just transitioned off bottles to sippys at 11-12 months. DS was bottle free by 13 months.

no, we got rid of bottles by then. My oldest was completely off bottles at 12 months and my youngest was completely off bottles by 11 months.

We stopped the bottles at 12 1/2 months and went to the Sippy cup with the straw.

We started transitioning off bottles around 12 months, not exactly on his birthday, but a week or two later. A month later, he was off them completely.
He preferred the sippy cups with straws, though he started our with sippy cups.

this is what we plan on doing as well.
We transitioned a little later. If you wanted to stay on bottles, just make sure to check the nipples more b/c of teething.

DS is 18 months and is still using the same bottles he did as a NB.
I am finally working on moving soley to a sippy cup now.

I wouldn't go out and buy new bottles at this age. I would get rid of them and buy new sippy cups.

Thanks --- that makes sense, the only thing is that we have to learn to control the sippy cup

I'm so happy that you posted your DS is still on bottles at 18 months---I don't feel so bad----I think my son will be on the bottle for awhile too.
