Did you get a bigger car after DC was born?

We went out for the first time today and it was very difficult to change DC in the car. His car seat takes up half the back seat and then if I'm sitting in the back, there is ZERO extra room. The stroller takes up most of the trunk space. We are thinking of upgrading in size to an SUV.

We went from an extended cab pick up truck to a full-size truck (SUV).

I had an SUV after #2 we got a minivan. Love it!

We're in a 4dr sedan & will purchase a small SUV this summer

Nope. We have what we need and both are 100% paid for!

After we have our 5th, like Shirley P, we will likely get one of these.

we only have 1 baby.... we have a scion xA and a prius. the scion is a tiny hatchback.... the carseat is on the passenger side of the back seat, and prevents anyone from sitting in the front seat so it's only for mom dad and baby... trunk space is also minimal.

our prius is great with DS. the seat is in the middle, we can still have 3 passengers + driver, and we still have decent trunk space. we have changed him in the hatch back area w/o any problems. (of course, we had to remove the stroller first, but we intended to put him in it afterwards anyway). so, if we have another kid, we likely will have to replace the xA with something substantialy larger... I'm hoping we can avoid an SUV or minivan, since they're really not our style... but we'll buy according to what is practical

We had to..I had a Toyota Corolla before DS. Upgraded to a Subaru Forester..I love it.

we bought the MDX when I got pregnant for safety reasons. I don't know what we would do without this truck!

We are a Camry with 2 kids and so far it has been fine, even with the 13 year olds sports gear and the stroller in the trunk.

Yes we bought a Nissan Murano right before DS was born.

We weren't planning to, but we had no choice. I drive a Toyota Echo (a teeny-tiny car with an impressive amount of space inside). If it weren't for my bad back, it would be ok, but I always need to be somewhat reclined when I'm not driving, or my back starts acting up on me.

Our drive home from the hospital was a nightmare. I cried the whole way home because I couldn't put the passenger seat back and my back was absolutely MURDERING me, the baby was screaming her head off, I was doing the numbers in my head as we were driving, wondering how on earth we were going to afford a bigger car.

We wound up purchasing an '08 Toyota Highlander, and we absolutely positively LOVE it. The ride is unbelievable, and the car is just the right height for diaper changes in the back.

I went from a Civic to a CRV after DD was born. Baby steps.

We have a Honda Civic...so far so good but with only one.

When DS was younger it was not uncommon to see me empty the trunk and change him in there...I kid you not.

We are going to get a honda pilot. My DH has a jeep wrangler that we are selling and I have a nissan altima.

I went from a Altima with #1 to a Minivan with #2. Wayyyyy better

Yes, we went from a toyota camry, which was pretty roomy, to a Hyundai Santa Fe. Love the trunk space!!

I had a VW Jetta, we recently got a Town & Country minivan (w/ #2 on the way)

When I Was pregnant I went from a Civic to a Subaru Forester.

The lease on my Civic was up just before DS was due so we upgraded to a CRV - LOVE it!! #2 is on the way and it's still adequate. Now if we go for #3, that's a completely different story

will be here in about two weeks but we had to get a new car. DH and I both had two-door coupes, so we are selling mine and upgraded to a crossover for now, a Ford Edge. LOVE it.

Yes we upgraded to a Murano right before we had DD(great for 1 child and a dog) and then upgraded to a bigger SUV before DS. I highly rec the Murano!!

Actually, I got a smaller car Its only a lease so when its up next October, I will look into a small suv or a crossover.
