Did you have a theme for DS's 1st birthday party?
DS1 was born in December and we had a Winter ONEderland theme. DS2's birthday is in July. I'd like to do some type of theme at least with the cake and maybe some decorations.
If you had a theme, what did you pick? Please share any pictures or decoration, cake, etc ideas. TIA.

Did you have a theme for DS's 1st birthday party?
My Ds birthday is in August for his first birthday we did Yo gabba gabba since that was the only show he liked to watch on tv
I got decoarations from party city, my best friend made his cake look like the robots head, i made cupcakes with the characters on top

DS's birthday is July as well. Last year for his first we did "Fun to be One". I didn't go crazy with a theme but we had small touches like individual popcorn boxes (store bought popcorn and the boxes came from Michaels since we couldn't afford to rent a popcorn machine), a small candy buffet with bright candy such as Tootsie Pops, Twizzlers, m&m's and DIY chocolate covered pretzel rods, lots of balloons and I bought a cheap bubble machine and the kids each got their own small bottle of bubbles. I was thinking of different things that would make the party fun on a budget.

I did baby mickey. I didn't go crazy with the theme. I did a year of photos with little mickey heads in the baby blue and yellow. I made a birthday banner with mickey heads. I got some decorations from party city and thats about it

DH is a contractor so for DS1 1st bday we did construction. It's the end of May so had it outside. Bought hard hats on oriental trading, got cones from Lowes (that we returned the next day bc they were pricey and we really didnt need it. Lol), decorated with construction signs, orange, yellow ans black balloons, etc, big signs, etc. it was cute.
Pic in the album.
For DS2 1st bday we had since bought a house with a pool so did a luau theme, which is easy to find in the summer... Got leis, tiki torches, etc.
Even had luaua music playing from pandora.

Did you have a theme for DS's 1st birthday party?
My twins 1st bday with did baby mickey and minnie. We got most of the decorations from party city and walmart. We got the cakes from BJ's. For DS's first birthday this coming august, we are doing a sock monkey theme. I am making some of the decorations (With the help of Pinterest) and also making a 3 tier cake.

We did very basic themes for both our boys' first birthdays, based on what they were most into at the time. For our first, we did a music theme, and for our second, we did a cat and dog theme.

DS will be one in August and I am doing a Carnival theme. I havent ironed out all the details but there are lots of ideas on pinterest.

The theme for DD's June 1st birthday is "Summer Fun," with a pink, turquoise, and yellow color scheme. It's a backyard birthday party.

We did music, since that was his favorite thing. I am not doing characters until he asks. I am thinking next year will be Mickey though!

We did "splash splash it's a 1st bday bash" with sea creatures and then we had splash tables, kiddie pool, water slide, water balloons.
