Did you let your 2 week old sleep in their nursery (crib)?

Our little guy is now 2 weeks and 1 day old. He has been sleeping in his pack n play in our room since we came home. When he cries during the night he is fed, changed and automatically put in our bed b/c my inlaws were staying with us for the last 2 weeks and I felt bad that he would wake them. Dh and I really want him to sleep in his nursery and crib right across the hall from our room. Do you think it is too soon? We have a video moniter system.

I started to let DS sleep in his crib at about 6 weeks. Until then he slept in his bassinet in our room. By 8 weeks he had outgrown the bassinet.

DD#1 loved her bassinet and she stayed in it for 5 months
DD#2 hated it and was in her crib by 10-14 days old and did awesome!

My DD is 4.5 months and still sleeps in the co-sleeper in our room. I'm not emotionally ready to have her in her crib, she has reflux and sometimes throws up in her sleep and gags and it scares me. She is also EBF so its easier to roll over grab her and nurse her.

Do what you feel comfortable doing and let your heart guide your decisions!! CONGRATS on your little one!

Ditto here. First night home, they were in their own crib in their own room. DS is 6, and has never come into our room in the middle of the night, and even if we offer, he doesn't want to. Same with 3yo DD. They were always content in their own rooms, and I think everyone in our house sleeps better in that arrangement (we had the AngelCare motion monitor, which helped our comfort level)

Kaydyn HATED the pack and play to sleep in....she pretty much screamed every single time we put her in it the first night.

The second night we put her in her crib and she slept for 4 hours...that's where's she been ever since.

DD was in her bassinet for the 1st 6 weeks. The day we moved her into her crib she started sleeping through the night (and DH and I slept much better once she was out of our room).

If/when there is a next one - they will go into their crib from Day 1.
