Did your doctor tell you not to have artificial sweetner?
So I am reading conflicting reports. Have not been to doctor but I have been avoiding Diet Coke and all splenda and sweet&low etc. bc I am nervous and have heard they are harmfu;/
Did you Dr. tell you NOT to have artifical sweetner?

He didnt specifically tell me to stay away from it, but I decided to stay away from it on my own. Theres just too many conflicting reports so I decided to play it safe and just eliminate it from my diet.

the packet they hand out says no artificial sweetener. i didn't actually hear it from her lips.

My Dr said Splenda is ok, aspartame is a big no no.

My Dr said that I could have Diet soda once in a while and Splenda. He told me to avoid Aspartame. I haven't had any of it though this entire pregnancy.

My OB told me to stay away, or use in total moderation because it hasn't been around long enough for any long term studies.
I did have splenda once in a blue moon though

I don't remember any of my doctors telling me specifically to stay away, but I want to keep my distance. I'll allow myself some SweetNLow in my tea every now and then.

I think in true moderation it isn't harmful, but I really do stay away from it as I know it isn't good for you when you're not pregnant. My dr did advise me to really limit any and all artificial sweetners as much as possible after I asked him his opinion.

My doctor told me no, yet my co-worker's doctor said everything is ok in moderation.

My doc said no. I've switched to Stevia in the Raw.....it's pretty good.

my doctor didn't say stay away from it completely, but he did say that he would prefer a tsp of regular sugar over artificial sweetner but that in moderation it was ok.
everyones doctors are different though
