Because I'm afraid my 3 week old might.

DD#2 had it on Monday--throwing up constantly for all of the late afternoon into the night. I scrubbed, Lysoled and Purelled like there was no tomorrow, but it looks like it may have hit baby Patrick. Chat Icon

He threw up after his bath this morning and then around an hour ago. I called the doctor and his message was to give Pedialyte for the next feeding, then nurse as normal and if he throws up again to call back. Right now he has no other symptoms...

Have any of you gone through this and if so, can you tell me what I might expect?

DS got one at 11 weeks. DH and I both got it as well - it took us 3-4 days to feel back to ourselves and it took DS about 8 days.

Just make sure he's hydrated - wet diapers will be a sign of that.

We did pedialyte on demand until we were sure he could keep it down and then introduced diluted formula to ease back into full strength formula.

Is he breast fed? Then you can still breast feed him even if he is vomiting.
My DS got it from his sister at 3 months.Chat Icon

Ask my SIL when you go pick up the girls. I know my nephew had something around 2 or 3 weeks but I don't remember what.

I would continue what you are doing and if it doesn't go away talk to her about maybe switching to soy or a gentler formula.
