Yup - they smoked up to three packs a day EACH.
They've been smoke-free for the last year and a half now, but all that second-hand smoke? The damage is already done...
At least my future children won't have to be exposed to that...

Yes. They did and still do.
But thankfully, they never smoked in the car.
They never smoked in the house.
And I'm happy to have never taken up the habit.

Yes, they smoked all the time, and it was always in the house. No wonder I had horrible breathing problems and recurring bronchitis while I lived there.

Yes.
My mother ended up quitting but 5 years later she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She quit too late. My dad still smokes (I suspect) and has also had two heart attacks.
I know it is such a hard habit to quit ( I am a former smoker myself) but it just kills me that my mom will never meet my kids and my father, at 70, has very limited time if he keeps up his lifestyle. Very very sad.

Everytime I come home from their house I literally take a shower cause I stink so badly. Love them to death, I wish they would quit.
