You cannot get to Disney Springs direct from the parks though so you'll need to monorail it over to one of the resorts (Poly, GF, or Contemporary) and then hop on a bus from there to DS.
I actually think you can now- DH and I were just there in June, and we saw buses for Magic Kingdom/Epcot etc at DS. We personally didn't take them, but I thought that was so convenient.
Disney World Bus: From any Disney resort, take the bus marked Disney Springs. From Fort Wilderness, the Disney Springs bus operates from the Outpost Depot. There is no direct bus transportation serving Disney Springs from any theme park or from the Transportation and Ticket Center. Check at your resort to see what time the bus for Disney Springs operates! General hours for buses are 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.

ETA - They probably didn't flip their signs over. Disney has never had access from the parks to Downtown/Springs before.

We are still waiting for all of the airlines ro release pricing so we can start booking. I'm dying here! I'm in the process of convincing DH to let us spend 1or 2 days at LEGOLAND & 3 or 4 in DW. I think my boys would love LL.
1 day at LL should be enough right? The thing is, looks like they have a really cute water area & they can spend all day in that alone.
We did LL on a recent visit to FL. My son (who is 4 and loves legos) still talks about how much he loved LEGOLAND. It's very big! We spent one day there and definitely could have done 2.

Historically, I think they would be released late this year, maybe around the holidays. However, book now so you get the resort you want and when the deals are released, just call and have them adjust your reservation to reflect the savings. That's what I am dong.

I would do the Poly. I LOVE that resort, I think it has a much nicer feel to it than the Contemporary.

Awesome!!
I've been working on our itinerary, I want everything planned out so I can make my ADR's on November 5th!! I'm so excited!!
Next up.............planning how to tell the kids on Xmas morning. It will be their "big gift" from us, not Santa. I think I want to wrap a big box and when they open it Disney balloons will float out and inside will be Disney tote bags filled with goodies for the trip AND some kind of letter telling them they are going to Disney.
How are your plans going luvmykids8?

We will be down there for 10 days, we're going to Universal for a day but other than that, ALL Disney!

Great!! Right now I'm trying to figure out which day to do which park. So far my main ADRs that I am shooting for are: Cinderella's Royal Table and Chef Mickey's. And we're not doing parkhoppers this trip.

We didn't do park hoppers last time and it was just fine. I use to park hop all the time but now with young kids, it's not as easy or practical so I save the money and plan full days at one park. It's just easier that way.

yep I agree - so much easier to stick with one park with the kids.

When we were there in June we needed to get from Disney Springs to Epcot- we walked to the Saratoga Springs resort and got a bus from there. The two are very close to each other and I don't see why you couldn't do the reverse. It took about 10-15 minutes and it was a pretty walk along the water.

My top dining are Ohana & Chef Mickeys!
For princesses, I have to decide between CRT or Akershus.
If you haven't decided already, we preferred CRT. I don't know why we did both- though Akershus was fun too.
