My top dining are Ohana & Chef Mickeys!

For princesses, I have to decide between CRT or Akershus.

If you haven't decided already, we preferred CRT. I don't know why we did both- though Akershus was fun too.

Thanks - we are going with CRT! Which meal did you have at CRT - breakfast, lunch or dinner?

Breakfast- it was really, really good. One of my top 3 meals from the trip. My daughter was just saying how much she loved the pastries.

I hated Akershus actually, I'd go with CRT too!! The food was terrible at Akershus, the princesses were great, but I wouldn't go back.

I get to book my ADR's in just a little over two weeks!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

This time we're doing BOG for lunch (I LOVE that place!!), Crystal Palace for breakfast (BEST bfast ever!!), Sci- Fi Diner at HS, T-Rex in Disney Springs, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Chat Icon

For those of you going, which dining reservations are you thinking-
for me I think I will do:
MK - Be Our Guest (lunch), Crystal Palace, CRT
Epcot - Via Napoli
HS- Hollywood & Vine
Resorts - Chef Mickey's, Ohana

how about you

I was underwhelmed by Hollywood and Vine, one of my least favs. The 50's Prime Time Cafe is my FAVORITE there!! The whole experience is so cute and the home cooking type of food is delish!! I also like the Sci-Fi Diner, it's just a fun experience for the kids!Chat Icon

BOG is AWESOME as is CRT and Crystal Palace. I was "eh" with Via Napoli at Epcot. Nothing that really impressed me there however, I haven't been since 2006 so maybe it's gotten better. Chat Icon

The ONE thing I NEED to eat constantly is my Dole Whip!!! Pure heaven since the 80's!!! Chat Icon

Another dole whip fan here. my absolute favorite. I was disappointed the last time we went because they got rid of orange dole whip. our family loves both the orange and pineapple dole whip but now they only have pineapple dole whip.

I thought the sci fi restaurant at Hollywood had pretty good food and nice ambiance. kona café also has delicious tonga toast and we are also fans of ohana. We usually do Columbia harbor house for quick meal lunch at magic kingdom.

Ladies, in your experience, which ADR do I have the best chance of getting on my arrival night...Chef Mickey's, CRT or BOG for Dinner. I want to pick a fun, character dining for my arrival night!

Are you planning on going to MK the day you arrive because if not, you won't be able to eat at BOG or CRT. You can't get in just to eat, you will need to use up one of your admission days,

However, if you were planning on visiting the park that day I would say to try for CRT (if that's what you want the most) and then try to book the others if that doesn't work out. CRT is always a pain in the a$$ to get reservations for. I REALLY love BOG though, we did it for lunch when we went so if you can't book dinner, try for lunch. It's cheaper too, technically considered a QS meal.

There are some really good QS places throughout the parks, so don't settle for junk when you can get a lobster roll.

I like Pecos Bill in the MK, Be Our Guest, and Tortuga Tavern (mexican)

Yak n Yeti at AK

The Mexican quick serve at Epcot (can't think of the name...so good though, and the real fruit popsicles are the best!)

Nothing is great at HS IMO

Woo-Hoo!!! Made all of my dining reservations this morning!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Oddly, the only one I had trouble getting a time I wanted was T-Rex in Disney Springs. I took 3:30 but I'll keep looking for a later time in the coming months.

I could've easily done Cinderella's Royal Table (which I was strongly considering) however, after looking at the menu and the cost I think it will be a waste (my kids are SO picky) so I opted to not do it.

I booked:

T-Rex (dinner)
Be Our Guest (lunch)
Sci-Fi Diner (lunch)
Garden Grill (lunch)
Liberty Tavern (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)

Next up...................FP reservations in a few months and waiting for Disney to release their May deals!! I also checked Southwest site and they released their May fares. SCORE!!!....................we have enough Rapid Rewards Points to get ALL FOUR of our round trip tickets for FREE!!!! I'm psyched to NOT have to pay for airfare!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

LOVE all of this Disney planning!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Disney 2017

Great job on the dining and airfare! That's awesome!

For T-Rex, call the restaurant directly. You can pretty much get whatever time you need. THey only release a small portion of their ressies to the actual Disney site.

I'm excited b/c last week I was able to score two preferred rooms at Pop with the winter discount. It kept coming up as unavailable and finally something opened up!

My next tasks are stroller rental, baby gear rental and Garden Grocer order.

Definitely call T-Rex directly!! Its not a disney-owned restaurant, so they only release a small number of reservations to the Disney reservation site.... if you call the restaurant, you'll probably be able to get whatever time you want Chat Icon
and good job with all the other ones! Have fun!!!!

Thank you. I always forget that T Rex is not Disney owned. I'll give them a call later.

ETA - Just called them direct, got a reservation with no problem for 5:30 which is the exact time I wanted. All Disney was offering was either 3:30 or 8:30. Thanks girls for reminding me to call!! Chat Icon

I've done them all at some point except for Garden Grill and Liberty Tavern.

LOVE the Crystal Palace breakfast, I HIGHLY recommend that one. BOG is just awesome. And T-Rex and Sci Fi are lots of fun for the kids!! I look forward to trying out the other two!

When do you do your ADR's?
