Disney- things to do at night after the parks
We are not getting park hoppers, staying 1 full week. Because of when we could get our ADR's and fast passes, we have to break up Universal. So our week looks something like this-
Saturday- arrive, Disney Springs
Sunday- Animal Kingdom
Monday- Universal
Tuesday- Magic Kingdom
Wednesday- Hollywood Studios
Thursday- Epcot
Friday- Islands of Adventure
Saturday- breakfast at Chef Mickey's, off to airport
We aren't sure we will do any of the nighttime shows this trip, except the fireworks at MK. So we will probably skip Illuminations & Fantasmic. We plan on being at the parks early, and not sure our kids can handle that long a day. We would rather leave the parks around 5 PM, do dinner, and be free by 7, what are some things we can do for a couple of hours? We are staying at Bay Lake Towers. I was thinking night swimming, exploring the Poly & Grand Floridian, do the resorts do poolside movies? Places to grab ice cream after dinner? TIA!

Disney- things to do at night after the parks
You can go to the BoardWalk (Epcot area). They have some night entertainment. You can grab ice cream too! The ice cream shoppe is called Ample Hills Creamery...so yummy!

The hotel we stayed at last year had night activities like a movie out on the lawn with free popcorn. We also went to Disney Springs at night to walk around and grab dessert.

How old are the kids? Bay Lake /contemporary will have outdoor movies every night. They also set up games. You can get a schedule when you check in.
We sometimes take the boat ride from bay lake to fort wilderness and walk around.
The hotels will definitely have marshmallow roasts etc. if you google you can see some of the past events.
There’s also mini golf. Disney springs has a movie theater and bowling alley too.
