I use to go on a weekly basis to my grandparents but once the gas prices rose, I make the trip every couple of weeks or so. They are buried in Queens...I like to upkeep their grave bc the cemetary does a horrific job.

Sadly, yes. I enjoy going to Roslyn cemetary because it's all old and historic (kind of creepy, yet serene) to visit my great-grandfather.

I love going to Greenfield to see my grandparents. Any excuse I get to "see" Grandma, I do. I miss her so much and think of her every day. My mother's father and my cousin are also there, plus Grandpa and my Dad worked there cutting grass throughout the depression. It's sort of got a familial feel all around to me.

Holy Rood? Whole other story. While it's a "beautiful" cemetary, I hate going to visit my six month old nephew's grave It's basically in an area designated to babies. It's heartbreaking beyond words to see the fresh graves in Eric's area. I also have two dear friends buried there, so it reminds me too much of young lives being extinguished too soon.

Yes, I go and visit my parents.

i'm also the crazy one who talks to them and tells them whats been going on with the Family.

my sister passed away 16 years ago, and my grandmother 4 years ago. With the exception of the day that they were buried, i've never been to their graves. They're both pretty far though (sister is in Ressurection on SI and grandmother is out in Calverton). I do think about going to visit my grandmother lately, but, honestly, i'm not even sure what i'm suppoed to do when i'm there?

Not often, but I take the trip with my mom once every 2 or 3 years.

Yes-My dad and Best friend from HS are @ the same cemetary. I visit both of them a lot.

I do. It brings me peace and helps me to still feel close to them.

My aunt just passed recently and was cremated. I feel a little lost that I don't have somewhere to go to grieve her loss.

I go on special occasions to visit my mom- her birthday, christmas, anniversary of death date etc. I have brought my son there as well. I find it easier to explain to him where she is that way. He never got to meet her so I tell him that we go to this place to say hi but she is in heaven watching over us as an angel. he is really starting to "get it" Its very sad but Im also glad that he knows of her.

No, but that's because the only family members I have that are burried is my paternal grandmother whom I've never met, and an aunt and uncle.

They all died when I was pretty young and never built an adult relationship with them where I feel compelled to go "see" them.

No I don't, the only close loved one I've lost so far is my Nana. I haven't visited since her funeral but I do think of her often and I think that means more.

usually just once a year (around Christmas) my DH takes me to the cemetary where my former fiance and his parents are. We also then go to the cemetary where DH's sister and BIL are. DH will sometimes maybe one other time during the year to where his sister is.

Not often enough, but Easter Sunday was my late brother's birthday so my whole family went and we sang "Happy Birthday" to him. I miss him every day.

No, but then again, no one close to me was ever buried. JT and I did find out before our wedding that our family members are all buried in the same cemetery: his grandparents and uncle, and my great grandparents and uncle, so we took a visit the week before our wedding and left invitations on their graves and paid our respects. It was really important to us.

DH's grandmother is buried about 15 minutes from our house. I go a few times a year. I wasn't able to go to her burial because I was pregnant at the time so I brought Jeremy on his first Birthday. When we got ready to leave, he sort of turned around and waved bye bye. It was kind of weird since he never did that before but I think he knew she was in a good place.

Never, I don't believe in it. To me, my loved one is in Heaven. I just look up to the sky and speak to them whenever I need to.

I go to see my dad alot. I like to make sure there's always something there. and since my grandparents and aunt are right there I usually go to see them too. At Christimas I go to three cemeterys and put down blankets for everyone but usually only christmas on easter we put the palms on my aunt uncle , granparent and fatehr but usally skip my uncles parents.

there is someone that we visit on his birthday and anniversary of his death every year though.

I don't go as often as I should.
If I"m attending another funeral in the same cemetary, then I'll stop by the family graves.
