No not really, but if it was from someone I don't speak with often I might follow up with a call.
MIL sent a particularly hysterical card recently and I *had* to call her about it.

I dont expect a call if I send one, and I dont call the person either. If I spoke to them, then I'd bring it up and say a quick thanks.

My older sister sends a card for every real or imagined occasion, so I do not call and thank her for each one.

I call and ask why they didn't send a gift.
No, just kidding. I might call and say thank you depending on who sent the card. I don't think I've ever gotten a card in the mail, though.
