Do you decorate outside?

Do you decorate your yard for either Christmas, Hannukah, Yule, Winter Solstice, Festivus, etc?

We used to put some things in the yard (lights on the bushes, a plastic Christmas bear, etc), but every year I get lazier and lazier...

Now we only have wreaths on the front doors, so that doesn't really count.

We've gotten lazier through the years for sure. We have the projection that has the green and red lights that helps us out A LOT! There's a childhood friend of DHs that had a very bad accident that involved a ladder and Christmas decorations, so now I won't have anything put up that needs a ladder. We run lights a long our fence, have a pretty light up snowman, I decorate a little Christmas tree that's in the back of one of our landscaping beds with star, ornaments and all! I also like to add fake poinsettias to our flower box. And of course, wreath on the door. It's a little more simple these days but still pretty

ETA: I also used to add a candle to each window but this year I couldn't find them for the life of me lol

I don’t personally do outside, but DH goes all out. He has the entire roof covered, our front tree is completely wrapped, along with 3 bushes. Garlands wrapped around the garage and hand rails. This year he added string lights that go from the roof to our fence which look pretty cool. We have a Santa screen projector in our front window that does different Santa pictures. I know I’m forgetting half of the stuff, and he’s talking about timing the lights to music next year lol.

A string of white lights across the length of the house (we have a ranch and it's a straight run across the gutters). Sone white lights on a Japanese maple and a tall evergreen bush in front. Some lighted candy canes up the walkway.
I am a fan of simple.
I don't like when it looks like Christmas vomited all over people's front lawns. Way too cluttered.

First year in my new house and just put up white icicle lights. After Christmas I will look to buy a few more things for outside

Yes we usually do lights on the railings and some garland.

When we owned a house, we used to do some simple outdoor decor. Now that we sold it and bought an apartment, we don’t have that option.
Even indoors - we didn’t bother with a tree this year (we are childfree)...I just bought a long string of fairy lights to accent our mantle decor and table of booze/gifts. Decorating took like an hour and yet it feels pretty festive in here!

I'd like to do more but DH couldn't be less into decorating so it's all on me. I'm not up for getting on a ladder to string lights on the house, pretty as I think some of them look.

I would do more but I'm lazy. We put lights on our tree and a snowman and penguin out Thanksgiving weekend.

But then we were out tonight looking at lights and when we pulled into the driveway I thought our house looked sad so I just went out and decorated the banister and put wreaths and lights in the windows.

We don't only because we don't have an outside outlet. We have some nice bushes outside where we could use those net lights and it would look nice. Maybe next year we'll get around to getting an outlet put outside.

Yes. We have two blow ups, 2 light up tress from Home Depot, icicle lights on our gutters (we have a ranch) and on the corner of our property, we have this tree that looks like a Christmas tree,so that has lights.

we have lights along the gutters in a straight line across (wideline cape), mini christmas tree pathway lights, and we have light up snowflakes on our front windows

Garland with lights around door and also a wreath with a bow. Red bows on the fence and lamppost. Lights in bay Window. We might put lights seeing the trunk of a tree.

Yup! We have a lot of bushes and shrubs in the front so they are all lit up. We also have 2 Christmas lanterns with holly and berries that light up, a reindeer, a snowman, and this year we got a blow up Olaf for my DD. She was so excited she made us have a photo shoot with it. Oh, we also have the snowflakes projected onto the house and some window clings and battery operated lights in the storm door.

ETA: This is the first year we really went all out outside, mostly for my DD since this is the first year she's really into it (2.5 y/o). And damn it's a lot of work! We spent like a full Saturday just arranging all these damn lights.

There's two houses by me that are like this. I mean one house the entire roof is covered in flashing multi-colored lights and the entire front lawn is covered in inflatable Christmas figures. I mean they press against each other there are so many. I don't like it. We definitely want more stuff than we have now down the line, but I would never let it get to that point. I actually feel bad for the people that live across the street from them and have to see the flashing lights for a month.

I put No because I never ever decorated outside.

And for some reason a few days ago, I wanted to do some decorations to lift up the holiday spirit. I also felt like I take for granted where I live and should take advantage of being able to decorate.

So I got some of those bulbs that turn and project light. Put it over the garage and bought one string of lights. Took us 15 min. Lol. I also had left over garland from my tree last year and a sign, I put that on the door with the wreath my husband got when he bought our tree. It’s look so festive and it didn’t take much. (Dollar tree is my best friend! )

Now my tree on the other hand took forever. Finally decorated yesterday.

My husband does all the outdoor decorating. We have a hi-ranch with icicle lights along the top and middle parts, lights that go around banister and front door and garage, a large green led wreath over the front door, candy canes and a sleigh with 2 reindeer.

I am a little snobby about everything matching and not looking like decorations were thrown up haha.

All of our lights are LED and coordinate and look good together

Yes, but we're Jewish so there's not too much options. LOL

Only thing we have are the dreidel lights that shine on the house. Got two. One for each side of the house and we put a menorah in the window. Inside I have some nice decorations and we have a collection of menorahs on the bar.
