Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
I tossed everything except my gown and headpiece (which was perserved). My albumns/video are now in a storage bin along w/my other pictures of "us" together, in case Amber ever wants to see that stuff sometime down the road. I didn't want to toss the wedding albumn/video because there are folks included in those images that are no longer with us

Some things yes, some things no.
My main attachment is my DH and I'll keep him forever.

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
I still have my stuff, but I don't like, think about it. I wanted to turn my kickass cake topper into a Christmas Ornament. The UNity Candle- eh, it could go. I still have my veil, but what do I need it for? I just can't throw the stuff away. I got nothing preserved, though. My dress- I loved my dress. I could REALLY use the money it would fetch from a sale, too- but I just can't do it. Though it's in a Cedar Closet in another town...

Absolutely!!
I still have our returned RSVP cards!!
me too I thought I was the only one.
I saved EVERYTHING from my wedding-besides the obvious stuff, I also saved my bouquet & my DH's boutionerre (which I dried), one of the ceremony programs, seating cards (which I made with homemade paper), all the cards we received from the wedding and shower gifts... I am super sentimental.

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
all my wedding "extras" are in a box in the attic (rsvp cards, extra invites, programs, etc...)
I have about 200 yarmulkes and white lace doily shmatas sitting in a bag in a closet (I'll get around to donating them to a shul one of these days)
My dress is hanging (not in a bag) in another closet - never dry cleaned either.
I saved my bo-k, it actually still looks nice and is in my china cabinet along with my toasting flutes and cake topper.
photos - which I HATE, HATE, HATE have not been looked at, and I have not even thought about making an album... I'll be married 2 years next month.

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
I have pretty much everything but most of it I have no idea where it is. Probably thrown in a box in the attic.

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
Unity candle, went in the garbage same day as the bouquet
Veil - garbage, by accident ( but I didn't over it) I wish I had it to play dress up with.
Toasting flutes - I do think are pretty - they are in my china cabinet
I've reused my hair pin as a broach on a dress.
I feel an attachment to the mood that day. The feeling I had in my mind and heart I will never forget. The rest is material and I could really care less about it.

I'm generally not sentimental, but I found myself saving my dried bouquet & headband in a display box.

Agree, except my veil. It was the one thing I totally (and probably stupidly) slurged on. I love it and many a drunk night I walk around the house with it on. Which may or may not annoy DH, depending on what I may or may not have on

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
I feel attached to most things from my wedding. I have always been sentimental. My attachment has nothing to do with whether the items were cheap or expensive or who designed them.

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
The things I kept are my dress (it's all cleaned and preserved), my tiara, earrings that DH gave me, an invitation, some favors, our toasting flutes and cake cutter/knife.
Getting our album and video was very important to us so we got that done right away.
My shoes, veil, garter, bouquet and all the other stuff either got lost or tossed.
ETA: Oh and we saved our sand in the vase from the sand ceremony... it made it all the way to FL with us in perfect condition.

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
We hung my bouquet in the shower while we were away and it got moldy, so I just kept the silk flowers. I keep them and other wedding-related things in my money box in a closet.
I have my tiara, our toasting glasses, a program, and our ring boxes set up in my china cabinet as a display with a wedding photo.

I kept everything ... right down to the response cards. I don't know why ... but I did. I don't think I would be heartbroken about getting rid of it now though.

Me too. Forgot about those. I kept all the invitations, church program, napkins, seating picture. Our engagement picture is in our bedroom too.

Re: Do you feel sentimental attachments to your wedding paraphernalia?
I do to some stuff.
Our cake cutting set was from Crate and Barrel. I like being able to use it for birthday cakes and that's why I'm attached to it. If we had got a special wedding set, I would not be attached to it and it would be stored in some box or sold on Ebay.
My bouquet was dried and is at my mom's house in a vase. I loved it so much and I wish I would've preserved it. But if mom tosses it, I won't feel bad.
My gown is clean and in a box under our bed. I love it and hope my DD will be able to use it or some portion of it when she gets married.
My grandma gave me our toasting flutes. They are pewter so we'll probably never use them again (our champagne tasted like metal). But I will keep b/c grandma gave them to me.
I loved my earrings and they are in a box in my jewelry drawer. My bracelet is one that DH gave me for Christmas during our courtship. I wear it on dressy occasions.
I loved my shoes and they are in their original box. I have no use for them but I can't bear to part with them.
Not attached to our Unity candle. I used a Pottery Barn candle. We didn't want to do a unity candle but we were told we had to.
I love our pictures but we don't have them in an album. We moved to NY right after the wedding and I wasn't able to put one together with the photographer. Maybe one day but it just doesn't seem that important right now.
