Do you find the croup to be reoccuring

Jack has had the croup a few times. He also was wheezing and needed to be nebulized about a month ago. Do you find that this is usually a reoccuring thing in your DC? I was kind of expecting it to happen once and then not again - but it feels like I am taking out the nebulizer once every other month these days.

I know with my friend's kids and little cousins...it seems like the same ones always have croup, and others never get it.Chat Icon

yes it is definitely reoccuring. All the time actually. Chat Icon At least in our case.

His pediatrician thinks he has mild asthema because of the RSV he had as a baby and the reoccurring croup. Plus when he runs around, he goes into these coughing fits.

She says many boys have it and often grow out if it very quickly. Chat Icon

Thanks everyone. I hate nebulizing him now, it's almost like I have to hold him down. Within two minutes he's saying "All done" - ummm, no buddy - you have about 15 minutes to go still. Chat Icon

It's amazing though how fast the treatments work. Yesterday he had a barking cough and today it's already much better (and we only had two treatments)

That's great that the nebulizer helps him a lot! Chat Icon For jacen, it never works and we resort to the steroids. Chat Icon

Glad he's doing better! Chat Icon
