When I was growing up I was very involved in my church youth group- choir-went to church every sunday- went to youth group meetings once or twice a week- taught a religious ed class - was a Eucharistic Minister- went to college and drifted a bit- but still was involved a little- but slowly it stopped- now DH and I go on holidays and every so often on sundays-
I hope to go much more when we have children- I want my children to be as involved as I was-
This was me too and sounds like us now. I did go to a Catholic college and was even very involved there.

Wouldn't that be "only when I have to?" (e.g., weddings, funerals) -- or would you never go even if it was for a wedding or funeral?

Since moving out to LI, I'd say once in a while.
I met my dh in church and we really loved where we went, but it's in Queens and a little out of the way now.
I hope to find one that we both love and go every week like we used to.

I did when i was little and my mom was my CCD teacher.
Today I do not attend. Personally I do not have any interest in the RCC. DH and i were not married in church either and have NO plans to baptize our children. This is just our beliefs.
I do want to instill spirituality and love, honestly, forgiveness, compassion, and acceptance towards others in my children. I would like my child to see all people and choose what he/she feels is the best fit for them.
