do you have a lot of kids in your neighborhood? or kids within the same age of your own children?

i met our first new neighbor
i asked him if there were any toddlers or kids in the area and he said not really.
there are a few preteens but thats it..
a little sad to hear . i have a toddler and a baby on the way..
was looking forward to some kiddies my kids age..

oh well. what is your neighborhood like?

There is a little boy down the road who is 2 months older than DS, and I saw they had a little girl 1 month before I had DD. (stork on lawn)

Otherwise, the kids are a little older.

Ive only seen one little girl around ds age, there are a few 5-7 ages around. Not many, but some younger couple so maybe there will be.

our neighbor directly across the street has 3 kids. one is 5 months older than DS and they will be in the same class. the rest of the kids are in junior high or high school. but there are some toddlers around the corner i think

None my DD's age. Most kids are between 5-10

That's the one thing I didn't ask the sellers when I went to contract on my house (my son was 11 at the time). It turns out that there are a ton of kids his age on our block. Two of his closest friends live next door and across the street. We were lucky.

no there are a LOT of older ppl in our neighborhood, we were invited to a neighborhood christmas party just this past season and pretty much everyone in the room had white hair- they all adored DS though

Yes, we have 10 (under 3rd grade) kids all around the same age on my block and then we have about 8 4rd grade and up.

We have lots of kids as well as people who have lived here for 30-40 years. Our new neighbors had a baby so their DD is 11 months younger than our DS. The people a few houses down have 3 kids under 6, including a newborn, a few more houses down there is a family with 3 boys, oldest maybe 10. There's more but I don't know much about them. The people without kids have been even more amazing - they really welcomed us and brought gifts for our DS was he was born, crazy since we'd only been here a few months. I love our neighborhood!

We have a few, but haven't really gotten to know anyone yet. When teh weather gets warmer we are going to be out with the kids a lot more so hope to bond with some people then.

I would love to organize a block party since my block is a dead end

tons of kids-- none Sasha's age that I know of on our block, etc. But, there are a few houses up for sale and people are always moving up from the city (esp with young kids).

When we moved in a couple of years ago, we had a 5 week old, and all of our older neighbors said we were the youngest couple on the block (we were/are in our 30s) and that no one had moved off the block in years. Since then, 3 or 4 other houses sold on our street and one more is for sale. The houses that sold went to young families, so there are several babies and toddlers on the block now (we have a 2 year old). I think neighborhoods/blocks get static and all of a sudden turnover!

no. There are 3 kids a few houses down. And another house with 2 kids around 9-11.

It's quiet. No ball falling on my car. I like it!

the house right around the corner has 2 girls a year older and a year younger than my DD
and one of the houses across the road has a baby born last august.
other then that its all old people!!! 2 of my neighbours were teachers at my highschool and i went to school with their kids lol

You have 18 kids on your block?!?!? I probably have around 18 PEOPLE on mine!

Seriously, and we have a short block. We have 2 couples with 3 kids, and another with 4, the rest of us are 2bies.

a lot of kids.....but they are all older....elementary school and middle school age. except for the houses on either side of me -one is a couple in their mid 90's and the other is a couple in their late 50s who babysit their grandkids. the grandkids are around my kids age but they are not social people...they literally turn away from us.

no kids DD's age...it kind of bums me out. it's the only thing I don't like about our house / neighborhood.

We sooo hit the jackpot on that. My block has 9 houses and in those 9 houses are12 kids under the age of 6 (9 are 3 and under). When we add in the other two blocks of our street it's about 19-20 7 and under. Awesome place for our kids to grow up

You might not realize it until you get to the busstop. I knew there were a few kids here and there, but now we are meeting people all over the neighborhood on our bus route.

we have a bunch of kids on the block and the two surrounding streets but they are all elementary and middle school aged. I wish there were some younger kids around..babies- age 3 or so.

We have no children, but there does not seem to be a lot of kids living in our neighbor. There are many older people (65+) and then a few older elementary kids and many more ms/hs kids. I hope by the time we have kids, this changes...

I know very few people in the neighborhood, so I'm not sure exactly. I see women with strollers going up and down the road all the time. At Halloween time, I couldn't believe the amount of kids everywhere. So, I'm pretty sure there must be kids his age. It's a big neighborhood. I know they have three kids next door and the youngest looks like he maybe just a year older then DS.
