I am a DY addict, but I only go for the under $1k pcs. I am in the market for something else. The ring was a b-day present in 06 and the necklace was b-day 07. I bought myself a bracelet and think I may go for another.

I wear my grandmother's wedding band on my right hand. It's a beautiful art deco piece - heavy platinum interwoven with diamonds. I love it...and where it came from.

I wear 2 rings on my right hand.......
on either my ring finger or middle finger (depends on the day) I wear a claddagh ring with a CZ heart (looks like a diamond) - got this ring from my former fiance who passed away. This is the only other ring I wore on my wedding day - DH held my e-ring until after the ceremony.
The other ring I wear is a silver ring with my initials. My MIL gave it to me when we came back from our HM. The ring was my MIL. Since it was small I thought it was my DH's when he was young (we all have the same 2 initials) but she told me it was her's 'but they were my initials now too' which I thought was so sweet.

I always thought that was a ring you bought yourself signifying independence.
I thought that was just a marketing campaign that DeBeers started about 10 years ago?
I always thought that a right hand ring was just a ring you wore on your right hand regularly, but had no real significance.
I thought the same thing. I have about 20 so odd rings that either my husband or I've purchased over the years. I don't consider any of them to be a "right hand ring" but I always thought right hand rings were more like diamond cocktail rings...
