I guess I am speaking more on general mistakes (like spelling msitake like this).

I'm honestly asking, are people SERIOUSLY annoyed by such minutia on an internet chat board? I'm asking bc I honestly don't understand how that's possible?
I cannot imagine caring enough about something so irrelevant to be annoyed by it.
I don't know, maybe bc I just use this board more to pass the time, or for a good debate on hot topics, than as a serious part of my life.

I think people CAN, but just don't care too. I personally, always have a million typos, or will use there instead of their, even though I know the difference. Its just an accident or bc I'm typing quickly. I'm educated and just really don't care how I come across on the internet. It's different IRL, at work, but on a message board....don't care.

Don't you know? People need to complain about anything and everything these days.  
Do you remember those kids in school who played the french horn and cello (instead of the typical clarinet or violin) and were in a campaign race for class president in the 5th grade? They ALWAYS had to do the "bonus question" for extra points, even though they didn't need them? The kids who everyone copied classwork from? The kids who had carrot slices and "ants on a log" as a healthy snack during lunch?
Well, they grew up to be the LIF grammar and spelling police.
I'm partially kidding.

When someone who says that unintelligible posts with errors peeve them b/c they are "educated" and then use the term "passive aggressive" completely incorrectly! Oh and btw there are also errors in your post complaining about errors!
So, please- this is a losing battle- and ding ding ding the "time to go home" bell just rang and I'm stepping away from the computer.

I read the first few responses but am not doing the other 207 at least not now..I suspect any I have were already mentioned. And there's probably some drama - Anyway... a minor one but everytime I see it I laugh out loud.
When someone posts some personal pics of their house or child or whatever and they HAVE TO say "Excuse the mess..." and then explain why there are 3 things on the dresser or floor that don't belong. I find it hard to believe everyone thinks everyone else's house is so perfect. Sure I dont really want to see people's nasty habits on display so it's better than the alternative but stop explaining the "mess" everyone. Just post and discuss whatever you wanted advice/kudos/feedback about.

Not neccesarily a pet "peeve' but more of a rudeness thing:
Someone asks a question , you answer it and then they quote someone else after you to say thank you 
I'm not looking for a pat on the back- but rude is rude ..LOL
Or when you go through the trouble to find a link (or something) for someone and they ignore what you post and give a rude "Bump, anyone else?"
