We haven't moved DD to her own room yet - but it will be closed.
My dad was a fire man and he always said that it was safer to sleep with the doors closed in case God forbid there was a fire (this also reminds me that I have to get one of those stickers for her window!)

Closed. He is such a light sleeper I have to. But his room has a french door so I can see in. When he gets older I will probably leave it open a crack.

Closed. As far as I understand you are supposed to keep it closed for fire reasons. But for us she would never sleep with it open, she would hear every little thing. She's a light sleeper.

So do we. We originally started out with it open until one night the cats sat under her crib and meowed her awake.  Since then they are banned in her room at night.
