why not...it is only one night! If they are cranky no..I would put them to sleep ... I wouldn't push it/force it...but if they are content and happy and playing with friends and toys....I will
I did last year we were over our friends' house...my 2.5 yr old DD and almost 1 yr old DS were up at the ball drop playing with our friends' kids and having a great time! my DD loved the noise and hats and favors!

If there's something going on - of course.
Sean was still going strong on Christmas Eve - long after he tired out his 10,7, and 2.5 year old cousins !!!
He was totally 'off' his normal schedule on Christmas day - but whatever, it didn't kill him !!

Til midnight? For the ball to drop? I don't know that I've made it the past few years 
If we have plans, I'd have no problem with letting them stay up "later" but til midnight - hellz no.

I don't care...this kid party's like a rockstar atleast 3 nights a week.
And this week has been albuterol two to three times a day...yeah, he will be up and rocking!
he also knows nkotb are going to be on TV because of the commercials...he won't miss that

I might. he was up until 11 on Christmas day night but had a nice late nap.
he was too busy eating foie gras and beef wellington and bouche de noel to notice the time.

Considering my kids are up until at leat 11 on a SCHOOL night (not out of bed, but laying in bed awake) of course they can stay up on NYE. We were always allowed to stay up growing up and it was fun!

DS and his cousins all run around and play! It's awesome.
DD will probably be in bed and I'll sneak in a snuggle at 12:01 with her
The latest she's ever made it before passing out on someone was 9/930

Same. We spend it with family each year adn all the kids stay up!
Last year DS was 2 and made it to about 1am! Happy as a clam. The year before he passed out (he was 1yo) but I woke him for hte drop.
I also let him stay up for Christmas eve until santa comes at midnight. THis year we were both fighting something so we fell asleep at 11 but I had DH wake us up before santa came. Then after Ds opened his gifts, he asked to go back in his cousins bed!
I think its nice and DS is pretty flexible with sleep that it hasnt been an issue for us so far!

Not right now...too little. Last year we were by my ILs and he couldn't make it past 11...when we woke him to take him home he screamed the whole car ride. We vowed never again.

Yes. The older one will but the little one will go to bed. We have no plans but if we were having company or going out, I would let the little one stay up too.

No but she's only 2 and wouldn't last even a few minutes past her bedtime of 8pm.

I agree with some of the posts on here. I would have no problem leting DD stay up on New Years Eve but she would never make it. Usually 9 is her limit. So I'm thinking she wont be up. If our 3 month old is up I will let her stay with us!

No. Shes only 4.5 and when shes up too late it ruins the next 2 days. Soo not worth it. Her normal bedtime is 7:30/8 the latest so she is cranky much later than that.
when she is older, Ill let her stay up.

She's too little now and wouldn't stay up that late even if I tried (which I won't ) but when she's a little older I wouldn't have a problem with it.

i think i will let her stay up a little later than normal and do a little celebration. (like 9pm lol)
her birthday is on the 2nd so i def. do not want the after effects of staying up too late carrying on to that day!

No...my daughter is 3.5 and gets crazy hyper/silly when she's overtired, which is fun & cute....but she also refuses to sleep later when she goes to bed late, so the next day (or 2) is a big disaster!

My older has always been allowed to stay up, but he could handle it... No break downs, tantrums, and would sleep in the next day...
My little one was too little last year, and TBH I dont think he will be staying up this year... He couldnt handle it... I KNOW that!
This year is the 1st year we wont have company and/or wont be going anywhere so its safe to say NO ONE is staying up....
