I know more people than i should - i gusess i know alot of dumb people
I know three different people who have gotten DWI's - one with two
one who totaled his car but did not get hurt and did not get in trouble
plenty of idiots who still drive after a few
we keep a breathlizer in the car so my dh knows when he should not drive - there is a number for a car service attached to thew side - i actully think after work events can be the most dangerous when someone else is paying the tab and having dinner you don't relize how much you drink always

i know a few people who drink and drive but haven't been caught.
i know someone who has crashed into things (walls, light poles etc.) and drove home and never got caught. makes me FURIOUS....he is one of those people who thinks he doesn't have to follow rules
and a good family friend was recently killed in an accident while drunk driving (single car accident) crashes into a tree and flipped his truck. so sad and senseless, he has 2 young kids

As you all know my Dh just got one.. Unfortunately it was all over the news.. he was 1 drink over the limit.. before he got into his car he asked a police officer if he was ok to drive (honest to God truth) the cop said you look fine to me.. so he got in the car got pulled over a few blocks down and got arrested .. No excuse .. he did it. He very rarely drinks.. He was on an empty stomach and it was 3 am he was up for 48 hours as well.. so now we are all paying the consequences of his actions.. And I know back in the day I did it all the time just never suffered any consequences.. I live my life differently now but refuse to judge anyone. even before this happened to my husband.. Its wrong , its irresponsible.. and stupid. I thank God it wasnt worse.

Yes, a few, both DWIs and DUIs.

yes. i dont think it was his fault though. i blame it on his friends for letting him get in the car and drive home. thankfully it is all in the past and he didnt have any major repercussions.

yes, a few. one person it was BS. they got a DUI, but I still have no idea how. They only had one drink and it was about 45 minutes before they drove.
The other was legit, and that person is in rehab, after getting into an accident (not involving anyone else, thank goodness).
The third was also legit, and they were functioning but legally drunk, so I suppose that is the most dangerous IMO. To themselves, and everyone around them, it appeard as though they were sober.

I know of people who have gotten a DWI or DUI.
I know someone as a PP stated who got a DUI. The person had had ONE beer. He is small and and it was on an empty stomach. He is a very responsible person and this really crushed him. He has never drank a sip of alcohol since it was over 10 yrs ago.
I lost a friend in college in a DD accident. She was a passenger, the driver was drunk

Some of these stories really reinforce that a lot of people realy don't know how much alcohol and how much time passage is "safe".
This is why to me, it's just not worth trying to estimate.

Unfortunately I know more than a few people with Dui's. One of them has at least 2.
