Do you see yourself at your current job...
Until retirement?
This is assuming, in this economy, that lay-offs, etc, are not going to happen.
Just - where you are, in your company, etc - do you see yourself there for the rest of your career-life?

no. I hope to be in the govt until retirement but I would be HIGHLY disappointed in myself if this is all I amounted to in my professional life.

I don't know. I didn't expect to stay here for more than a year, and that was 10 & 1/2 years ago, but probably not--35 more years is a long time.

i see myself in my current career for a lot longer.. maybe not at the exact company, but in the same field. When kids come along, who knows though.
i can't think of any retirement age people in advertising, its just such a young profession that i'm not sure what happens to anyone older! Hmm, got to start thinking about that

yes... although me and DH still havent squared away what we are going to do when we have kids
i'd LOVE to be a SAHM and work part time at a clinic or something (im a social worker) but who knows... that wont be happening for another couple of years so we'll see

Unfortunately, yes. Unless we move out of state. Though I don't exactly "love" my job - it pays way too well for me to leave it to try to start a different career at my age.

I would like always have my own business- it's my dream - and I can't see myself going back to corporate american any time soon
but when the real estate market changes- I would like to focus on the happier side of it- flipping and selling homes

Can't. I'm in school and have to graduate eventually. Or they'll stop paying me 
I'm not even staying in the field after I graduate. But I've come to terms with this and am actually excited with the possibilities out there.

I will definitely be with the government until retirement. I wouldn't mind staying with SS. But I sure as HE!! better be at a much higher pay grade.

not sure-i enjoy my job, and it gives me a good balance between work and home (its at a school, so i have a nice schedule)
BUT i've always had this feeling that i'm just not a "career minded" person. i like working and getting out of the house every day, having my own money, etc.. but i'm just not one of those people that gives it 200%. i do what i need to do, and thats about it.
I think i would be just as happy at home, taking care of kids and the house...
