Does anyone else's DH have a hard time with the months/weeks thing
Every time I say I'm 8 months, DH says, "well not really." I say, well yes, I'm 32 weeks AND my due date is based on 40 weeks, which is 10 months, so I am 8 months. He thinks that when I say 8 months, people assume that I'm going to have a baby in 30 days. Maybe people who have never had kids and have no clue that you're pregnant for the entire 9 months, but I'm not going to start telling people that I'm 7 months.
This morning I was telling him that so-and-so said I'm carrying small and he said "well, that's also because you keep telling people you're 8 months." He's killing me!

Dh doesn't really pay attention to that stuff. He just asks me how far along I am each week and believes whatever I say. lol. For me though - I just go by the "What to Expect" calendar because the weeks transformed into months just confuses me sometimes.

Re: Does anyone else's DH have a hard time with the months/weeks thing
I actually say I'm 7 1/2 months because when I tell people almost 8 months, they think the baby will be here in early December. I'm 31 weeks. Sometimes I just say "the baby will be here around new year's" when someone asks me how far along I am.
You could say "I'm in my 8th month" if you want to still say 8 months but make it so people understand you're not due in early December... but it's really not that big a deal. Say whatever makes you happiest. Your DH can say whatever he wants that makes him happy.

I'm the same. Next week when I go home to visit OOS family & friends I'll be 25 weeks along, but I figure I'll just tell everybody that I'm 6 1/2 months when they ask (since 28 wks technically starts my 7th month)
